A Valentine's Surprise (AJ and Ellie)

AJ had everything ready. It was Valentine's Day and he was going to spend it with Ellie. He had everything all set up. He knew she hadn't been feeling too well before but everythign else was going amazingly well for the two of them. He picked out a blue polo shirt so his eyes popped and a black pair of jeans. Ellie's gift was up in his bedroom and he had a lot of chocolate goodies around the house as well as strategically placed candles.

Now all that was left was to wait for Ellie to come over.

Ellie sighed as she sat in her car and was sort of stalling going inside. She had no clue just how exactly AJ was going to react to what she was going to tell him and she didn't know how to tell him. "Crap, crap, crap.." she muttered as she took a deep breath and rang the doorbell.

Hearing the doorbell he got really excited. Calming himself down, he answered the door, grinning like a little kid. "Hey you..." he said smiling as he pulled her in and kissed her lovingly. "You look beautiful."

"Yeah well I feel like crap." she chuckled as she kissed him back.

"You look very handsome." she said noticing his apparel.

He arched his eyebrow. "Why didn't you tell me? I would have gone to your house or something...you wouldn't have had to drive..." he said softly, feeling a bit guilty.

"It's fine, I didn't mind." she said as she smiled up at him.

"Alright then...are you feeling okay?" he asked softly, gently stroking her face. "Maybe chocolate and champagne wasn't the best idea..."

She smiled softly.

"I'm alright Allen." she said as she kissed him softly and pulled away, sort of freezing thinking about the champagne.

"Uh, I'll take the chocolate, but champagne may kill my stomach." she laughed a little.

"Okay, that's fine...I've got water, juice, milk, soda...what would you like?" he smiled warmly.

"Water, a big glass." she chuckled.

"No problem." he smiled as he went to the kitchen and got them both two big glasses of ice water.

Ellie sat there and let out a breath as she bit her lip.

She was happy about the news, ecstatic even, but she didn't know how he would feel and now she felt horrible. His whole life was about to be changed dramatically and he didn't even know it. Of course, she had said to herself after her first pregnancy, that she wanted to be more mature, meaning actually living with the father or heck, even married before then...but that was not an option since it was already too late.

So she sat there deep in thought.

He sat with her on the couch and he handed her the glass of water. "Ellie? Baby? You alright?" he asked in a whisper soft voice.

She broke out of her thoughts and smiled at him as she took her water.

"Fine, just thinking....uh, about how much I love you." she said as she took a sip of her water.

"That's uh, wonderful, but what's really on your mind?" he asked with a small smile.

"Uh well, I..." she said as she stopped suddenly feeling nervous and nauseous at the same time.

She quickly stood up.

"Where's your bathroom again?" she asked.

He pointed to the first door in the hallway. "Right there." he said furrowing his eyebrows.

"What's the matter?"

She didn't even answer as she ran to the bathroom, shutting the door and throwing up.

He immediately went after her. He heard her throwing up and since she didn't lock the door, he went in after her and held her hair back.

She groaned as she finished and flushed the toilet.

"You're not supposed to see that. I'm sorry." she apologized, feeling embarrassed.

He smiled softly as he grabbed a washcloth and wet it, putting it on the back of her neck. "Hey, it's okay...people get sick..."

She nodded and gave him a small smile.

"Well alright then."

He smiled. "There's some mouthwash by the sink." he smiled, helping her up.

She nodded.

"Thanks." she said taking some and rinsing out.

"No problem...would you like anything to help settle your stomach? I've got 7-Up." he offered.
