"Is it that little peanut?" Scott asked after staring at the screen for a while.

The doctor nodded. "Yep, sure is."

"More like your big headed little peanut." Ellie teased a bit.

The doctor laughed a bit. "Let's see if we can hear the baby's heartbeat and make sure everything is okay."

"Our big headed little peanut." he chuckled as he grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it, watching the monitor.

She chuckled as she held his hand and watched the monitor as well. She wasn't going to say anything, but in past pregnancies and appointments, she would end up going alone sometimes, so since Colt was here and would be around for everything, she was happy and excited to see his reactions and so on. She smiled to herself and as she watched the monitor, then she heard the baby's heartbeat.

"Ah, there we go. A good, strong heartbeat for baby." the doctor said.

A grin hit his face when he heard the heartbeat and looked at Ellie with the same grin. "That's our baby, El."

"It is." she smiled back at him and squeezed his hand lightly. "Everything is good for sure, right?" she asked the doctor.

"Everything is perfect with the baby." she nodded. "You already know your blood pressure is a little high, but you'll just need some rest and it'll be good in no time. Other than that, everything is running smoothly. I see nothing wrong."

"I'm so happy." she chuckled a bit and wiped at her eyes.

He kissed her cheek and looked at the doctor. "Is there anything special that she needs to do to take care of herself?" he asked.

"Just make sure to get plenty of rest and stay relaxed." she told Ellie and Colt. "Other than that, you know you have to take your prenatal vitamins and you know what to eat and what not to eat."

"Great." He couldn't get the grin off of his face. "Any thing else?"

"That's it." she said as she turned off the machine and cleaned Ellie off. "If you have any other questions or problems, you know to call the office." she told them. "Make an appointment for next month and I'll see you both then."

Ellie sat up and nodded. "Thank you."

"No problem. See you both soon." she smiled and left the room to her next patient.

"...soooo." Ellie chuckled as she looked over at Colt.
