Injured

"Well you two both cheer me up." he chuckled. "So no competition there."

"We'll I still do it better." She giggled. "Your Mommy made me cookies before." she grinned. "They were yummy."

"They are pretty yummy." he chuckled. "She hasn't given me any, but I'll get some later."

She nodded. "And I'll help her make you some." she told him.

"Oh man, well now I really can't wait."

"It's gonna be great." she giggled.

"Just like you." he tickled her gently.

"Daddy." she laughed as he tickled her.

"Hmm?" he chuckled.

"Stopppp." she laughed as she tried to push his hands away.

Ellie was looking for Madison and when she heard laughter coming from her room, she knocked on the door and peeked her head in, smiling a little at the two. "Madison, when you're done talking to Daddy, we need to start heading out because I have to be somewhere and you're going to Layley's house with Ajay."

"Boooooo." she pouted.

"You love going to Layley's house." he told her with a small laugh. "Thank you for the card, now go get your shoes and stuff on."

She pouted but nodded. "Fineeee." she said and carefully kissed his cheek. "Love you Daddy, see you later." she said as she ran off.

"Feeling any better today?" Ellie figured she would ask.

"About as good as I can feel with a bum neck." he shrugged gently. And the crappy mood was back.

She sighed and nodded, didn't know why she bothered to ask. "It'll get better." she told him. "Anyway, I'm out. If you need anything, your Mom is downstairs." She had a doctor's appointment today and it would be her first ultrasound. She had told Colt about it a couple days before his injury and was excited for him to be there, but ever since the injury and his mood towards her, she figured he forgot and didn't want him to be there all moody anyway. She wasn't the one that injured him and she knew he was upset about being injured...but Douchey Goldman didn't need to make an appearance everytime she would check on him or talk to him. "I'll see you later." she told him and didn't bother staying to hear his response. She got the kids ready and once again was questioned by his mother. Ellie told her that she had a doctor's appointment and would be back later, then just left.

Colt's Mom,....uh...Marcia, went to see him. "How's my baby boy?"

"Fine, mom." he said, sighing a little. "I'm sure I just messed something up, but I'm fine." he looked over at the clock and saw that it was almost time for Ellie's appointment. Of course he remembered the ultrasound, he'd had it marked on his calendar in his phone. "Will you take me somewhere later on, mom?"

"Scott, you know you're not supposed to be out." she told him. "If you need something I can just get it for you." she offered.

"Mom, if you don't take me then I'm just going to drive myself." he groaned. "This is something that I need to get for myself."

She hated to see him upset and after thinking it over, she nodded. "Fine, but you need to take it easy." she told him. "Where am I taking you?"

"You're taking me to the doctor's office." He told her. "You can just drop me off, you don't have to stay."

"Whatever you want." she nodded. "Are we leaving now?"

"Yeah, I guess." he said as he stood up slowly.

Marcia went to help him. "Now, why am I taking you to the doctors?"

"Mom, if you're gonna question me then I'll just drive myself." he told her.

"I'm just asking because I thought you were in pain. No need to get sassy with me, Scotty." she told him.

"Sorry." he muttered. "Can we go now?"
