Injured

"Yes we can." she nodded and helped him out of the room.

She got him into the car and they drove to the doctor's office, with her dropping hi of in front of the door. "Thanks, mom. I've got it from here." he told her as he got out of the car.

She was still confused, but wouldn't ask any questions. "Okay, you call me if anything." she nodded. "Love you son."

"Love you too." he told her before closing the door and heading inside.

After hearing that, she smiled and left, lol. Ellie was in the examination room, waiting for the doctor to finish up with another patient. Since it would probably take a few minutes, she took out her phone and figured she would just play a game or something until the doctor walked in.

He went to the maternity section of the building and saw Ellie, taking a breath. He knew he'd have a lot of begging to do. He walked over to her and stood in front of her. "This seat taken?"

She looked up and well...she didn't really know how to react. Oh, she knew how. "Yup." she said and went back to her game. He'd been a jerk to her and she figured she would return the favor.

He sighed a little and sat down next to her. "I messed up pretty bad, didn't I?" he asked her.

"I'd say so." she nodded.

"I'm sorry." he told her.

She sighed. "Look, I'm not looking for an apology. I know you're upset because you're injured and I get it, I honestly do, it sucks." she told him with a nod. "I know I'm not exactly easy to deal with either when I'm hurt or sick or whatever, but I was just trying to help you and it was like I was being blamed for your injury. I didn't do anything. If I was overbearing or something, then I'm sorry but I was just worried and wanted to make sure you were okay. To me, I wasn't appreciated for anything I did...since all you did was give me an attitude and the cold shoulder...but ugh, I don't know. I just hated how you were with me." she said as she shook her head. "After a while, I just didn't know what else to do. I figured if I stayed quiet and just kept giving you all the food, meds and whatever else you needed, I'd get over it and be fine." she said. "...you were dealing with it pretty hard, Scott...but so was I because I hate seeing you hurt in any way and I felt like everything I did to try to help you was wrong. This past week or so just sucked."

He sighed. "Nothing was your fault, and you know you didn't do anything wrong. You didn't deserve how I've been treating you and I'm really, really sorry for that. I would understand if you just asked me to leave right now and I would... but certainly you couldn't expect me not to show up for your first ultrasound, no matter what kind of mood I was in?" yeah, he remembered.

"I just thought maybe you would forget since everything has happened this week. I didn't want to drag you out anyway..." she said then blinked. "Actually, you should be home relaxing..but I will let you slide because I am happy that you're here and I want you to be here."

"El... I love you and I'm sorry for being such an idiot lately." he told her, grabbing her left hand and kissing the back of it.

She hated when he did this...because she could never stay mad at him, lol. "...I forgive you, only if you promise not to turn into Douchey Goldman again."

"I promise." he told her. "Douchey Goldman is gone."

"Good.'' she nodded. "I forgive you." she said and flicked his arm. "Just don't let it happen again.'' she chuckled a little.

"Hey, I'm already injured." he rubbed his arm with a pout.

"I am well aware." she snorted as she was called into the room. She stood up and held her hand out. "Come onnnn."

He chuckled and grabbed her hand, walking with her.

They were led to the office and told that the doctor would be in shortly. Ellie nodded and went to sit on the examination table. "So, how are you feeling?" she asked since they had some time to kill.

"My neck's still a little tight, but I couldn't miss this for anything."

She nodded. "Well after this we're going home and it's back go bed for you. Your Mom would probably force you anyway."

"My mom was the one that drove me here." he chuckled.

"...strange." she chuckled as the doctor came in. They did their hellos and all that, Ellie introduced the doctor to Colt and yadda yadda. They checked Ellie out and now it was time for the ultrasound. So she went to lay down and let them put the gel on her stomach, so they could use the machine. "Okay, here we go." the doctor said as she looked around for the baby.
