It's Time? Really?!

Conner and Ashley had been getting through the pregnancy alright. Their families were somewhat off their backs...for now. Conner realized it wasn't half bad. Ashley was right...pregnant women got crazy horny and he was only far too happy to oblige. He would every now and then cave and have a cigarette but overall he was a good husband...well good for Conner anyway.

But then...in the last month or so of Ashley's pregnancy...the doctor said they couldn't have sex. And then they would have to wait six to eight more weeks after that. Well...with Conner's libido, he couldn't take that. He told Ashley he was going out. He left and he ended up having sex with another girl. He just needed that release and he felt a lot better. It didn't feel as good as when he had sex with Ashley...what the hell did that mean? He didn't really know. Maybe he really liked her.

He came back home and looked around. "Ashley? I'm home." he called as he took his jacket off.

Over the past couple of months, Ashley had been...doing well with the pregnancy. Conner went to all the appointments with her like he promised he would, everything thing else had pretty much been Ashley. She made a room for the baby and set it up, excited for the arrival of her baby. She was about ready to just get it out. She heard Conner come back from wherever he was, since she was in the kitchen getting a snack. "Oh hey, welcome back." she nodded.

"Thanks...should you really be doing so much?" he asked curiously. "What if you push yourself so hard that like the baby just falls out?"

"...well, I've got to eat." she chuckled a little. "I'm fine, doctor said I'm good."

"alright." he said as he went to grab himself a bottle of water.

As he walked by, Ashley...smelled something different on him. Last time she checked, he didn't wear women's perfume...and it's been a while since she put some on. "So...where'd you go?"

"Went out to a bar." he said simply. "Grabbed a drink."

She nodded. "Hope you got that girl's number or something. Or was it just a quick fix?"

"why would I want her number?" he chuckled. "It was just a quick one time thing...I was really horny and she was really into me." he told her.

She sighed. "You promised that you wouldn't do that anymore."

"and up until tonight I kept that promise. Look, I'm sorry, alright? But...we can't have sex, hell we can't even have sex for a while after the baby's born...and you know me." he reminded. "I just needed to get off and jerking off really doesn't cut it. I thought you said you were okay with it anyway."

"Well that was before I got pregnant." she said.

"Look what more do you want from me, here? This is who I am." he reminded. "Would you rather I lied to you about it? I don't even remember her name."

She shook her head. "Thought you would have changed with the baby coming and all that, but I forget...you really don't want anything to do with it anyway."

"Now you know that's bullshit." he snapped. "I had one slip in about 9 months and I come clean about it and now suddenly I don't want anything to do with the baby? I go to every doctor's appointment with you. I listen to everything that bitch says to help you through this. I quit smoking. I fucking babyproof this whole place. What? You thought that was for shits and giggles?" he asked, taking a breath, sipping some water so as to calm himself down. "What, you jealous that I went and fucked another girl?"

"One slip yes, but it's not even about that. It's about the fact that you made that one promise and couldn't even keep it. How hard is it to keep it in your pants for a month or so? Jealous? Please, keep dreaming."

"It's actually pretty fucking hard." he snapped back. "I promised you that I would help with the baby financially and be there for you when it came to the pregnancy, the delivery, and even after it's born...and then I had promised to not sleep with anyone else...I break one promise. I'm human, I'm sorry Saint Ashley! Not everyone is perfect like you." he spat.

"If you're not jealous, then why is this such a big deal, hm?"

She scoffed. "I never claimed to be perfect! So don't you even say that." she snapped. "It's a big deal because I don't want my ki----" and with that, she winced a bit as she grabbed her stomach and felt a gush between her legs. She looked down and her eyes widened. "Shit, I think it's time."

He saw her in pain and felt bad, thinking them fighting made the baby upset and start kicking...but then he saw a puddle at her feet. "Oh shit are you serious?"

She nodded. "Pretty serious."

"Fuck! Alright do you have your bag for the hospital ready?"

"It's by the door."

He nodded. "come on." he said as he helped her over and then grabbed the bag so they could go to the hospital.

She nodded as she followed him out to his car, so they could drive to the hospital.

They got to the hospital at a record time and they managed to get her into a bed. The aids got Conner into scrubs and helped him clean up and he joined Ashley at her bedside.
