Uh... I Can Explain

"Too damn bad." he said. "So...which room?"

She sighed, defeated, and just rested her head in the crook of his neck. "Don't care."

"Fine." he said as he put her in their room. Once he went into the room, he put her on the bed gently.

She let out a breath as he put her down, and was almost out when her head hit the pillow. Almost. She was alert enough to tell him, "I coulda cleaned." That was coming a girl who did nothing -but- sleep all day.

"Sure." he nodded. "You can do it later."

"Why are you picking on me?" She complained, head still buried in the pillows.

"I'm not." he said, slightly amused at her.

"And you won't even lay with me."

He climbed into the bed and lay next to her. "Now I'm here."

"Good, now lay here and I will clean." She said getting up.

He pulled her back on the bed. "Nice try."

She plopped down on the bed and stayed there, burying her head into Phil chest out of habit like she normally did. "You are so mean," she mumbled into his shirt.

"Yeah I know." he said as he wrapped his arms around her.

"It's not fair," she muttered drowsily.

"Is too." he said.

"If it were, you'd let me clean."

"You can after you sleep."

"Mm." She grunted, trying to stay awake.

"Go to sleep."

"Don't wanna," she mumbled, already half asleep.

"Mhm, I believe you."

"Fuck you," she replied at his patronizing her, but meant no harm by it. At least, she think she didn't.

"Heard that one before." he shrugged.

"I hate you." If Phil knew her at all, he'd know that she was just irritable when she was sleepy. She'd apologize later (if she remembered).

"Got it." he nodded.
