It's Time

"Only time will tell." she shrugged as she saw Phil sit in the chair by Lacy and sat down as well.

* a few hours later *

"God damn it!" She cursed. It was too late to give her an epidural, because the doctors and nurses didn't check on her in time enough to tell when she was dilated to the point that she could have one. This kid was giving her hell and was pretty much ready to come out. She had a feeling that giving birth naturally would SUCK.

Ellie winced as she covered her ears a bit.

"I'm just gonna go and--"

Ellie pulled Phil back.

"No way, you did this to her." she chuckled. "I think it's time for her to push."

"What? No." She shook her head profusely. "Not doin' it. It hurts too much."

[[LOL Phil's a damn jerk xD]]

"I know it hurts...A LOT...but if you want the pain to go away, then you need to push this baby out. He probably has Phil's big head, which is why you're in so much pain."

"Whatever, I don't have a big head."

She looked at him.

"Yeah okay and I'm the Virgin Mary. I'm going to get your doctor...you just....keep her company and let her squeeze your hand." she smirked as she left.

Phil looked at Lacy and offered his hand to her.

[What?! He didn't do anythingggggggg lol]

Lacy sighed and took his hand. "This seemed like a good idea six months ago." She tried to chuckle.

[[leaving me *sobs* xD]]

"The making of the baby was." he chuckled. "You're doing great though, you're hanging in there."

[I'm sure you shall live lol]

"This shit hurts." She complained.

[[ What happens when I die? Lol ]]

"I'm sorry." he frowned.

[well then I guess I'll have to comfort Punk and he will have to comfort me ]

"Let's not do this again for a long while." She chuckled softly.

[[ *gasps in horror* Some friend lol ]]

"I agree." he chuckled. "This looks painful and it's such a long wait."

Ellie ran in with some doctors.

"See! She's ready to go and push!"

"Okay, okay. Let's just see how dilated you are." her doctor said checking her.

[lol...well...we'd both be really, really sad ]

"Twelve centimeters, she's more than ready." The doctor confirmed and started getting ready.

"Oh, God..." she groaned.

[[ while screwing each other's brains out, highly unlikely lol ]]

"Yay!" Ellie clapped excitedly as she put her hair up. "Now Lacy, it's going to be painful...but once the baby is out, the pain will go away. You've got this." she nodded.

"Yeah, what she said."

[lol...well if you put it that wayyyyyy....]

"Joy." She said dryly.

"Alright, I'm gonna need you to push." The doctor instructor.

She was ten minutes into the pushing, her head damp with sweat, before she dropped her head back in exhaustion and shook her head. Well, she was right about one thing: natural birth sucked ass. "Hell no."

"Come on Lacy, you can do this." Ellie encouraged.

"I agree Lacy. We're almost there, don't you want to see our son?"

"This hurts too damn bad, Phil." She panted.

"I know and I'm sorry that you're going through all this pain, but it's going to be worth it. We waited so long for this." he said as he kissed her forehead. "I don't know about you, but I'm anxious to see our son. So can you please try again for me? For you? For him?"

"For me too." Ellie said rolling her eyes.

"I guess for her too." he chuckled.

[that was sooooooooooooo lame]

She sighed and picked her head up from the pillow, taking a deep breath and starting to push again.

She had been pushing for a good 45 minutes, her head and neck were covered in sweat, and she was full on crying and out of breath at the same time from the pain. She as she was about to give up again, she heard the cries of her son fill the room, and then she collapsed back in exhaustion.

"It's a boy!" The doctor announced.

"Baby, you did an amazing job." Phil grinned as he kissed Lacy on the forehead.

"Aw Lace, congrats." Ellie smiled.

She shook her head lightly with a breathless chuckle. "Never.. again."

The doctors asked Phil if he wanted them to cut the baby's umbilical cord, or if he wanted to do it himself.

Phil chuckled at Lacy and then went to cut the cord.

"Aw Lacy, you're a mom." Ellie grinned. "Welcome to the club." she chuckled.

"Gone are the days of my youth." She smirked tiredly.

After Phil had cut the cord, the doctors weighed him, foot and finger printed him for his birth certificate, wrapped him up and brought him back over to Lacy. She laid him over her chest and looked up at Ellie with a bit of a shocked smile on her face before turning back to the baby.

"Hello, little Brandon Brooks."

[[I think that was the kid's name.. lol]]

Phil smiled at Lacy as she held their son.

"Aw, Brandon." Ellie smiled. "He is so cute."

[eh...it was either brandon or brendon....same thing lol]

"You wanna hold him, babe?" She asked Phil. "You're next, Ellie." She chuckled.

"Of course I do." he replied with a smile.

"Oh no, you both take your time with the little one." she said smiling at them.
