Blast From The Past

He sighed and realized he needed to calm down. He didn't want to fight with Lacy again and mess things up. They were in a good place finally. Punk took a minute to collect and gather his thoughts, then looked over at Lacy and nodded. "I feel horrible that I make you feel like I don't fully trust you. I do, Lace. From the bottom of my heart, I truly believe you and trust you 100 percent." he said as he slowly and gently reached for her hand. "You have to understand though, that sometimes it is hard for me to not think about what happened every now and then. It drives me crazy to know that he was around, because it reminds me that I could have lost you for good. You don't need to prove anything to me. You showed me a long time ago that you were not giving up on us and that should be and is enough for me." he shook his head. "I don't mean to hurt you, baby. That was never my intention. I get jealous because I am so madly and deeply in love with you, Lace. You know I get crazy if anybody even looks or breathes in your direction."

She pulled her hand away from him and crossed her arms over her chest. Sweet talk wasn't going to get her now. "Well act like you fucking love me and stop letting this guy get between us. I'm tired of always walking on eggshells around you because you think I'm going to leave. And no, you don't trust me." she shook her head. "Because if you didn't, you wouldn't have freak out anytime anyone looked at me. You would be comfortable and secure because you'd know that I only have eyes for you. Just like I'm comfortable in knowing that you only have eyes for me. But no, you freak out when someone looks at me because you think I'm gonna look back and like what I see. That is not trust Phil, and that's why I'm hurt. So no, I'm not accepting you going crazy anymore. You either know that I'm with you and only you, or maybe we need to evaluate some things."

He listened to her and nodded. "You're right. I need to be secure and comfortable when it comes to things like that. I shouldn't second guess you and be afraid that you'd leave me. You are here and that's what should matter to me. I don't want you to doubt my love for you, because I do love you, Lace. More than you can imagine. I need to step up and be a man. Know that you're with me and that I'm the only guy in the world for you. Not acting like a pussy and making you walk around on eggshells with me. That's no way for you to be around me." he shook his head.

She sighed. "I know you love me, Phil."

"Yeah but I don't show it or tell you as much as I should." He said.

"That's not the point, Phil."

"I know." He nodded.

"Do you?"

"I do."

She sighed. "All I want is for you to trust me. I'll throw the flowers away, that doesn't matter to me. I just don't want you to doubt me anymore."

He nodded. "I won't." he said. "I shouldn't have to."

"well -I- know that." she scoffed.

He snorted a little and nodded. "I am sorry, Lace." he said.

She looked at him for a moment before sighing and nodding. "Go get cleaned up, I wanna go home."

"No problem." he said and headed to the back to clean up.

She blew her hair out of her face and shook her head as she started to tidy up around the ring when she heard the door open and close. "Sorry, we're closing up for the night. you can train tomorrow." she said without looking behind her.

"Did you get the roses?"

Lacy froze for a moment. Of course. She took a breath and turned around slowly to face Roman. One good look at him, and well.. if she were single, she'd fuck the shit out of him. lol. But that wasn't the point. "My husband is mad at me because of you." she frowned hard at him.

"So you did get the roses." he started to walk up towards her, ignoring her mention of Phil. "Did you like them?"

"You need to go." she said firmly.

"Why should I?" he said as he grabbed her hand and kissed her knuckles lightly. "I miss you."

She snatched her hands away from him. "Yeah well, I don't miss you. Now leave, I'm trying to save you. If Phil sees you he'll flip and it won't be good for either of us."

"C'mon, Lace..." he said lowly, in that sexy ass rumble (unf) that he liked to use when he wanted something from her, and rested his hands on her hips.

"Stop it!" She batted his hands away. "You have to leave. Now."

Punk heard Lacy raising her voice at somebody and went to check it out. "What the FUCK is going on here?" he growled as he came up and approached them.

She stepped closer to Phil to keep him from wailing on Roman. "honey, it's taken care of. Please just go back." she begged him.

"Too late." he snarled.

"Phil, please." she begged him. "Baby..." she sighed.

"Listen to the lady, Brooks." Roman replied with a calm, cool smirk on her face. "Let us adults finish our.. conversation."

He let out a laugh and shook his head. "That's funny, the only adults I see here are myself and Lacy." he told him. "Why don't you get on out of here and go, I don't know shampoo your hair or grease it up with some more car grease. Or, I can throw you out."

"I'd like to see you try." Roman said as he started to step towards him.

"No, no!" Lacy got in between them and pushed them away from each other by their chests. "Both of you, stop it. Phil, please go back to the office." she begged him.

"Lacy, back away." he told her. "I'm gonna kill him."

"If you love me, you won't." She frowned.

He groaned to himself. Damn this woman. "Leave my school now."
