Baby Shower

"Yeah yeah, cruel woman." he snorted. "So...before you gave me a heart attack, I asked...how are you feeling?"

"Tired. Sore," she said weakly. "Are the babies okay?"

"They're perfect." he said. "Wanna see them?"

"Please?"

He nodded and went to get the kids, then went over by Lacy. "Here they are." he said as he handed one to her.

He gave her the little girl and she rested her on her chest. "Aw, she's precious." she grinned at her as the baby looked up at her. "Hi baby. I'm your Mommy," she cooed to her. "She has your eyes, Phil."

"She does, but other than that...she looks just like you."

She smiled and kissed her forehead. "Lets name them."

"Okay." he said. "So you said you wanted to name him Jack?"

"Yeah, but I haven't even seen him."

He chuckled a bit and moved the baby closer to her, so she could see him.

Lacy looked over and pushed Jack's hair out of his face, smiling a little. "I think we did good, babe."

"We did." he said as he kissed her forehead. "So...what do we name her?"

"What do you want to name her?" Lacy asked him. "I named Jack, it's only fair that you name her."

"Well, I don't know...I've always liked the name Carly for some reason."

"I think... Carly is great." She smiled up at him before looking down at the baby. "Do you like that name? Carly?" The baby cooed in response and latched onto her finger. "Then Carly it is."

"Jack and Carly Brooks." he nodded. "Works for me."

She smiled a little and tilted her head back to look at him. "I love you. So much."

"I love you too." he said as he leaned in to kiss her.

She returned his kiss gently. "When I woke up, Phil... all these nurses and doctors were rushing around me talking about my heart... and I heard all of this crazy beeping... I was so scared," she put her head down.

"I could imagine." he said. "I was worried and freaking out. The doctor told me that your body was under so much stress during delivery and that they had to stop your heart from racing before the blood transfusion."

"my heart was beating pretty hard during delivery," she admitted. "I just... didn't want to worry anyone. I had to get them out."

"You are a stubborn woman." he said. "The good thing is that you're okay though."

"Yeah." she laughed a little as she watched Jack fall asleep. "Should we call people?"

"I think, you should get some rest and I'll call everybody. You know Brandon and Ally are probably waiting to find out....though I left them with Uncle Scotty, Maddie, Ajay and Ellie...they may be hyper." he snorted.
