Booo, he's sick [Phil/Lacy]

"Being a parent sucks sometimes," she chuckled a little.

"I'd have to agree with you on that." he chuckled as well. "Just try not to worry too much right now, it'll stress you out. Relax and we'll see what happens."

"He's been like this for two days."

"At least we're getting it checked out."

"I guess," she sighed.

He rubbed her back a bit as he kissed the side of her head. "He's a tough cookie."

She nodded.

*Three Hours Later*

A little while later (three fucking hours later), and Lacy was just plain upset. What the hell was so wrong with Brandon that they couldn't just run a few simple tests and come out to tell her what was up? She was sitting in a chair in the waiting room, visibly upset and bouncing her leg up and down purely out of nerves.

Phil was upset as well, this was taking way too long for his liking.

"What the fuck is taking so long? Brandon should have been back and we should have known what was going on." he said.

"Something is wrong, I just know it," she muttered putting her head in her hands.

"I'm going to find the doctor and kick his ass."

Right after Phil said that, the doctor came out and looked around. "Brandon Brooks?"

"That's us." Phil nodded.

[lol...Phil doesn't like waiting xD]

"What's wrong with him?" Lacy asked the doctor.

"Well, your son has a high fever, and an ear infection. We've gotten the fever down a little but he's still bothered from the ear infection." He told them. "He's asleep right now, we're going to give him ear drops since he can't swallow anti-biotics yet."

Lacy sighed heavily. "Will we be able to take him home tonight?"

"Afraid not, we want to keep him for a day or so to make sure the fever doesn't get out of control."

"What?"

Phil put his arm around Lacy and nodded. He wanted to take Brandon home too, but they couldn't do much. "At least we know that he's going to be monitored over night and it's not too serious." he told Lacy.

She sighed again and thanked the doctor before the doctor went back to the nursery. "I guess," she said to Phil regarding his last statement.

"Wanna go see him?"

"Don't know if we can, it's late."

"So? We're his parents." he said.

"Not like we can just fuck up visiting hours, though."

He shrugged. "We're bad ass, let's do it anyway. Unless like...Brandon starts calling for one of us. Damn it, he should be awake."

She shook her head with a tired sigh. "Let him sleep."

"Okay." he said. "Want me to drop you off home? So you can rest?"

"Phil, you just got in from a tour, you need more rest than I do. I'll stay here."

"Yeah, no chance that that's going to happen. I'm staying too."

"Fine," she said giving up.

*Few Hours Later*

It was about ten in the morning and Lacy was curled up in a chair next to Phil, trying to stay awake. The smart thing to do would have been to just go home, get a few hours of sleep, and come back, but they were both nervous as hell.

When they left the house last night, Phil had the sense to put some clothes on. Lacy had just left in a tank top and shorts, and hospitals got really really really cold. Something about killing germs. She had bullied her way under her husband's arm (lol) and curled into his side. Keep in mind, she had already been up for two days since Brandon's infection got really bad, so it was no surprise to anyone that she looked a lot like hell.

Someone came up behind the both of them and tapped their shoulders before coming into view. It was a guy, he looked to be in his 20s. "Excuse me... I'm a really big fan."

Shove it, was what she thought.

"And I wanted to know if I could get a picture with you two?"

The look she gave was really just meant to be a blank stare. They were in a hospital, waiting to take their son home, and this guy wanted a god damned picture. The blank stare looked something deadly though, because without sleep, she looked like like she was ready to kill the guy.
