Bummed. (Phil/Lacy)

After being on the road for the past week and having matches here and there, Phil couldn't wait to get back home and sleep in his bed. He wanted to rest and spend time home. It was his last house show last night and during his match, his opponent messed up a move Punk was getting ready to do, resulting in Punk messing up his elbow. Luckily, it wasn't too bad...but he had to recover for the next week or so. Yeah, this wasn't something he wanted to hear. Now he was just cranky and annoyed about everything. He made it home and sighed as he stepped out of his car and walked to the door. Once he opened the door, he stepped inside and closed it behind him. "Guys, I'm home." he said.

"Daddy?" Brandon asked as he'd sat up on the couch, just waking up, looking at him through bleary eyes.

"Kitchen." Lacy called.

Allison crawled into the living room and looked up at Phil with her pacifier.

He put his bag down by the door and picked up Allison. He didn't even want to know why she was crawling on her own. He then went by Brandon and kissed his cheek. "Mhm, Daddy's home." he said with a sigh as he then went to the kitchen. "Here." he said handing Allison over.

Lacy was finishing up washing Brandon and Allison's plates when Phil had walked in with Ally. She pulled her hands from the water and dried them off before taking Allison. "Why hello to you too," she said as she picked up on his tone when he walked in. "The baby gates were up, I was letting her crawl around, why'd you get her up?"

"Yeah, hi." he said, then shrugged. "I just don't want her crawling all over the place."

"Nothing is gonna happen to her." Lacy shrugged as Allison struggled to get back down, starting to whine. Lacy let her down out in the living room, where the carpet was before going back in the kitchen. "What's wrong?" She asked with slight concern.

"Nothing. I'm tired."

"Sounds like something more than you just being tired."

"Nope, just tired." he said. "I'm gonna go upstairs or something."

"But--" she started, but decided against it. She didn't really want an argument. "Fine."

"Great." he said picking his bag up and heading upstairs.

Lacy sighed and finished cleaning the kitchen before going in the living room, seeing Brandon who was slouched over on the couch trying to stay away and Allison who was trying to climb into her playpen.

Lacy help Ally in before she tipped the damn thing over on herself and went back over to Brandon, laying him over on his side. "Go back to sleep honey."

Brandon shook his head. "But daddy's here."

"Daddy is... resting." Lacy nodded. "You'll be fine."

"Kay mommy," Brandon said before closing his eyes.

Lacy sat on the couch with Brandon while he slept, watching television for an hour or so to let Phil cool off. Maybe he'd be good then.

Brandon was still asleep, and Allison had dropped off to sleep, too. About two hours had passed and Lacy hadn't found anything particularly interesting on tv, so she got up slowly to not disturb Brandon and went up the stairs to check on Phil.

After Phil went upstairs for a while to cool off, he found himself irritated. He didn't want to be away from the ring for so long, cause that's what he loved to do...but he didn't mind staying home with his family. He loved them all, he just felt like he was going to be useless or something, which is why he was upset. Anyway, he took a shower and wrapped up his elbow like he was supposed to, then just hung out in his room, attempting to find something to do or watch.

Lacy made her way into the room, seeing Phil. His hair was wet, so he must have just gotten out of the shower. Her eyes immediately went to his bandaged elbow and arched a brow. "I'm diggin' the new rags," she said, making her presence known in the room. "What happened?" She asked, stepping further into the room.

He looked over at her and shrugged. "Fucked up my elbow during a match last night."

Lacy frowned slightly. "Everything okay?"

"No."

She walked up closer to him and wrapped her arms around his waist lightly, looking up at him. "Can you at least tell me what's wrong?"

"I don't wanna talk about it. I'm just annoyed, cranky and irritated over this damn elbow injury."

"How long are you out?" She asked as she backed off of him, didn't know if he was really in the mood for it now or not.

"Two or three weeks."

"At least you didn't need surgery." She tried to look at the bright side of it.

"I guess." he shrugged.

Lacy looked up at him. "Okay, what's really up? Why are you so upset?"

"I don't wanna talk about it."
