It's Too Early

"You can do that later. You're doing great Ellie." Katie said with a smile.

"you're doing great baby...just a bit more pushing and we can see our baby." he said with a big smile.

"I strongly dislike you right now." she told him with a glare.

"Don't worry, they always say these things." the doctor assured AJ. "Come on Ellie, I see the head."

"No, no more. I'm done." she said as she took a breather.

AJ was a bit shocked when she told him that but was reassured when the doctor smiled at him. "Alright...baby, you have to push...you're not a quitter, are you?" he tried to goad her on.

Jeff came running down the halls with his iPhone. "I'm ready to commemorate this event with the camera! We allowed in there yet? I wanna document my new...neice? nephew? What do we have this time?"

"Right now...yes. It just hurts so much." she pouted.

"Ellie I know it hurts but trust me it'll be all over soon once the baby comes out. It's so worth it El when you see your baby, just push." Katie said.

"Niece." Matt said.

"Can't you give her an epideral?" he asked the doctor. He hated seeing her in this much pain.

[[wait...the sex of the baby is still unknown, isn't it?]]

"It's way too late. That would have to be given to her before she even started to push."

"Doctor, you don't understand how much I need those drugs."

"Well it's too late and the baby is almost here, just one more push."

She groaned and nodded as she attempted to push again.

"Okay, only because I really want to see our baby." she said with a small smile as she pushed again.

"What? Really? A Neice? But I thought they were gonna wait...unlkess...did she already pop the little sucker out?" JEff asked excitedly.

AJ smiled with her, kissing her forehead lovingly. "Come on baby...push hard."

"I'm just guessing." Matt said.

"PUSHING...HARDDDDD...." she screamed during the final push.

Once she pushed, the room was filled with loud cries as the sound of their baby was heard.

"It's a girl." Doctor Johnson said with a smile.

Sure, the baby was not exactly where she needed to be, but she looked healthy. They put her to get weighed and measured as they cleaned her up.

"Five pounds. A little underweight...but she'll be good in no time." she smiled as she looked over at Ellie and AJ.

Once she saw Ellie, she looked at her worriedly.

"Ellie?" she asked as she saw how pale she looked and was passed out.

Immediately they went to work.

"She's losing a lot of blood here." she stated as everyone started to work on Ellie.

Katie looked in shock.

"Ellie!" Katie yelled as tears filled her eyes.

He saw the tiny baby girl and smiled and when he turned to face Ellie, his smile faded. "Ellie? Ellie!" he exclaimed worriedly. "What blood type is she?" he asked frantically.

"It says here she's a B. We need to give her a blood transfusion...anyone a type B?"

AJ began to panic. He was AB. "Katie, are you a match?"

"Yeah." Katie said.

"You have to do it...I'm not a match. I can't." he said, looking from ellie to Katie.

"Alright I'll do it. I don't want my baby sister to die." Katie said.

"Thank you." he said as he let the doctor lead Katie out to take blood. "May I see our...daughter?" he asked.

"Oh yes, of course." the nurse said as she handed AJ a small pink blanket. AJ took the bundle and smiled lovingly at his new daughter. "I promise...your mommy will be right back." he said, trying to hold back the tears.

Katie walked with the doctor to a room.

Once they entered the room, they took Katie's blood and after they took the amount the needed, it was placed in an IV bag and then back to Ellie's room. They hooked the needle into Ellie's arm, transferring the blood.

"Alright, hopefully, she'll be up. Once the blood starts to go in, she'll be better."

AJ stood in the room, holding the baby, who had fallen asleep. He moved to right next to Ellie's bed. "See? This is your mommy." he whispered lovingly.

Finally, the blood started to work it's way into Ellie and she stirred a little as she opened her eyes.

"Hi." she said as she smiled softly.

"Hey, beautiful..." he smiled softly as he walked over to Ellie and showed her their new baby daughter. "It's a beautiful little girl..." he said softly and he handed Ellie the baby.

"Hey." she smiled back as she sat up and held her daughter.

"She's so beautiful." she said as she teared up. "I still can't believe she's here."
