It's Too Early

After Ellie & AJ made it to the hospital, she was immediately placed in the maternity ward as AJ had to fill out some papers. Once all the paperwork was done, it was said that Ellie was in fact in labor and that the baby would have to be delievered soon. Since the stress of Stacy bothering them and her father getting married, it was too much for Ellie and the baby to take.

Now in the hospital bed and waiting for another contraction to pass, it did and she groaned.

"I don't think I was meant to have kids." she stated.

Once AJ finally got all the paperwork done, he found out the room Ellie was in. He was trying to keep it together but they found out that Ellie was in fact in labor. He heard her and smiled a little. "Yes you are." he said softly, moving next to her and taking her hand.

"I'm gonna be right here with you, baby..." he promised, kissing the back of her hand.

She nodded and sighed a little.

"Great. Just know after this, no more fun for you. This is painful." she stated as she felt another contraction.

He chuckled. "Noted." he said softly. "Did they tell you about our baby? Is it...healthy at least?" he asked, a bit worried.

Letting the contraction pass, she nodded.

"Well, the baby might have a little problem breathing on it's own since it's two months early, but other than that, that's all I know."

Just then the doctor walked in.

"Hello. I'm Doctor Johnson, let's see what we have." she stated as she looked over the monitor.

"Well, you're just about ready to give birth. I'd say another ten minutes or so, we can start to prepare."

"No. I'm not pushing. The baby is going to stay there until another two months." she said as she folded her arms across her chest, stubbornly.

"Ellie...our baby is ready for us now..." he said finding her adorable.

About 10 minutes had gone by and it was time for Ellie to give birth. they took AJ in the back so he could get cleaned up and dressed so he could be there with them.

He came back out in a doctor's outfit and gloves. "Paging Dr. Jones." he winked.

Katie knocked on the door then peeked her head in.

"Hey you two." Katie said.

"Katie move so I can come in." Matt said.

"Shut up." Katie said.

"Dr. Jones? Oh goodness, a fool." she stated as she sat up and they made sure everything was ready.

"Katie! Matt! Thank god!" she smiled. "I'm so scared." she told them.

Katie went over to Ellie then hugged her.

"Don't worry everything will be fine." Katie said.

"But still, it's too soon."

"You have an awesome team of doctors here. They'll make sure the baby is okay." Katie said.

She nodded.

"Okay, only one of you can be in the room, besides the father." the doctor said.

"Matt? Is it okay if Katie stays?" she asked softly. "I need her."

"Hey guys...thanks for coming." AJ said more seriously this time.

"No problem." Matt said then hugged Ellie before he walked out.

"Thanks." she smiled a little.

"Ellie, we need you to start pushing when we tell you to."

Knowing there was no way she could postpone the birth and pushing know would be safer for the baby, she nodded.

"Okay." she said. "I'll do it."

"Great."

"I swear to god though, I'll kick your ass if anything happens to my baby." she glared.

"Okay." the doctor chuckled, she's heard that so many times.

"I would take her seriously and we know many people that would kick your ass too." Katie said.

Lacy walked briskly in the hospital spotting Matt. "Matt!" She ran over to him. "I got here as fast as I could after I heard. How is she?"

Matt looked at Lacy.

"Ellie's okay but they're going to have to deliver the baby early." Matt said.

"Why? What happened?"

"Stacy and my dad getting married again caused too much stress on her and the baby." Matt said.

"What?!" Lacy looked disturbed. "That sounds like a Maury episode. What's her room number?"

"She's giving birth right now. We're not allowed in yet." Matt said.

Lacy rolled her eyes. "Great."

AJ took Ellie's hand so she knew he'd be right by her side.

"Okay Ellie, push." the doctor said.

Ellie nodded and started to push, squeezing AJ's hand.

"That's it...." the doctor replied as Ellie let out a breath. "You're doing great so far. Just a couple more pushes and you're all set." she smiled.

"Why are you smiling?" she asked. "Do you find this amusing? I don't think it is." she told the doctor.

God, I need Stacy here so I can punch her face repeatedly." she said as she started pushing again.
