Spending Time

"That sounds good. You guys good with that?"

"Yep! That's fine with me." Maddie said.

"Me too!' Ajay nodded.

"Cool." he chuckled. "Why don't you guys show Mommy all the cool stuff you picked out for Tigger."

"Okay!" Maddie said as she dragged Ellie to see the toys.

"We got him a sweater!" Ajay said.

"Oh man, you guys bought him a lot of stuff."

"-I- bought him a lot of stuff." Scott chuckled. "Now we need to figure out where we are going to put Tigger's bed so he can sleep."

"My room!" Maddie said.

"No, mine!" Ajay said.

"no!"

"yes!"

"no!"

"Hey, knock it off." Ellie told them. "How about we keep Tigger in the living room?" she suggested.

"Hm, well...I guess so." Maddie said.

"Hmmmm...Daddy, what you think?" Ajay asked.

"I think that sounds fair. And that way he won't wake anybody up when he moves around at night." he said.

"Oh yeah, good idea. I don't like waking up." Maddie said.

"Libing room it is!" Ajay said.

"Awesome." he nodded and set Tigger down. "Why don't you guys go and wash up for bed."

"Do we have toooooo?" Maddie whined.

"I don't wanna go to bed." Ajay said. "We had Daddy Day, but not Daddy night!"

"It's a school night." he chuckled and looked at the time. It was a little while before their bed time. "Tell you what, go upstairs and pick some comfy pajamas and I'll give you a bath, then I'll make some popcorn and we can watch a movie in my room with Tigger. Then we can have Daddy night. Mommy can even come" he smirked.

"We gotta think about it." Ajay said.

"Brats." Ellie laughed. "Go on and get your pajamas."

"Okay. We'll be waiting, Daddy." Maddie grinned as she ran up the stairs with Ajay to get their pajamas.

"How dare you steal my kids from me." Ellie joked with Colt. "I will forever have to compete with you." she chuckled.

"Maybe if you put out more I wouldn't have to seek elsewhere to get attention." he joked and put an arm around her.

"Mhm, you're hilarious." she snorted. "I'm glad they had a nice day with you though."

"Me too. I missed them. I kind of took a step back when you and I were going through it."

She nodded. "I think they noticed a little but this made up for it big time."

"Yeah. They've been yammering for a puppy for a while now."

"I was holding off until I felt like they were ready...but I figured they were now." she said and sighed dramatically. "Now I have to buy another puppy to get them on my side." she joked.

"So I can buy more puppy sweaters? I think not." He chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Miss me?"

"I'm gonna buy -you- a sweater with a puppy on it." she joked and nodded as she wrapped her arms around his waist. "I did, very much."

He wrapped his arms around her fully. "Good, I missed you, too."

She smiled. "I was a little jealous that Daddy didn't spend any time with me." she joked.

"Well you are more than welcome to come to Daddy night." he chuckled.

"Maybe I'll make an appearance, we shall see." she said.

"Daaaaaaaaaaddy!"

"Go before they kill you." Ellie chuckled.

"Evil children you have." He chuckled and kissed her once, letting her go and heading up stairs to the bathroom. "Ah, there you are. Got your comfy PJs?"
