A Much Needed Getaway

"I probably will." he chuckled. "But it's all good."

"Okay then." she nodded. "Sooo...now what?"

"I don't know preggo, I'm thinking I should just throw this weekend out of the window and get you a pint of Ben & Jerry's." he chuckled.

"Shut up." she snorted.

"Aw, I'm sorry." he kissed her neck.

"You're not sorry." she chuckled.

"But I am." he brushed her hair back and continued to kiss her neck.

"Don't think I believe you." she said as she tilted her head a little.

"And that hurts me." he pouted and kissed her neck again.

"Aw no, I don't want you to be sad now."

"Then you gotta believe me."

"Fineeee, I believe that you're sorry."

"Great, now I don't have to prove myself." he grinned and pulled away from her skin.

"Jerk move." she snorted and turned to face him. "You can tell me to shut up after this..." she chuckled a bit. "But...you're sure you're happy right? I know you said you are and I believe you, but I want to make sure. Or maybe it's just me because I'm used to the reactions I got when I told Maddie and Ajay's sperm donor about them. I think I'm just still freaking out. Give me a happy dance or something." she snorted and just buried her head in the pillows, lol.

He sighed a little and sat up, moving to the edge of the bed. "Yeah, El. I'm happy," he said before getting up. "I'm gonna go take a walk."

She heard him and looked over at him, then sat up. "Did I do something wrong?"

"No." he shook his head, slipping his shoes on. "I just need to clear my head."

"Well, okay." she nodded.

He grabbed his key and headed out without saying anything else to her. Everything was just fine until he had to hear about what AJ did... again. He shook his head and continued his walk.

Well, this was a great start to their getaway. She sighed a bit and tried to think of something she may have said to make him want to get out. ...was it when she mentioned AJ? She wasn't sure. She sat on the bed for a while until she had to puke her guts out, lol...and after she did all that, she grabbed some of the crackers that were there and a water bottle, then sat out in the balcony. He'd probably want to be left alone whenever he came back, so she'd just sit out there until he either wanted to talk to her...or until he fell asleep, lol.

Scott came back about thirty minutes later and didn't see Ellie in the room, so sat on the bed and turned on the tv. Terrible weekend, lol.

She heard Colt come back a while ago, but stayed outside, lol. Some time had passed and it was getting late and a little chilly out, so she had no choice but to go back inside. She sighed and stood up from the seat she was sitting on and made her way back into the room. He was watching tv and she would leave him alone, so she went to the bedroom area and went through her bags, looking for pajamas. She might as well just sleep and call it a night.

He sighed a little after she went into the bedroom area. This is not how it was supposed to be but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't a little annoyed. He got up and went into the bedroom area, seeing her. "We need to talk."

"Go ahead." she nodded.

He was trying to figure out how to say this without coming off as a complete asshole. "I'm not AJ. I'm sick of hearing about how you're so reluctant to accept things from me because of what AJ used to do. I get that he wasn't the greatest guy, I do. But not even an hour ago, you questioned if my happiness was legitimate because of how AJ reacted when he found out you were pregnant. I'm tired of feeling like I have to outdo the guy Ellie. Maybe I should just act indifferently to everything like he did, just to give you what you expect."
