Weekend Getaway

Punk had booked a getaway for Lacy and himself. He knew that Lacy was still pissed off at Colt and he wanted her to just forget about him and enjoy herself...even if it was for a weekend. He dropped the kids off by his Mom's house and grabbed his bags, along with Lacy's and put them in the car. Once he made sure he packed up the car and was ready, he got in the car with Lacy and he drove off. He was headed to this location, which was about an hour away from where they lived. He wanted them to just be alone and not be bothered by anyone. They were almost there, so he reached over to grab her hand and kissed the back of it. "You alright?" he asked as he kept driving.

"Fine." She nodded as she held his hand after he grabbed it. "You still haven't told me exactly where we're going." she chuckled a little.

"Some town called Wallkill." he joked with a smirk. (*smirked*) "Kidding, you'll see in a bit. It's a good surprise, I promise."

Lacy laughed a little. "I can't handle anymore weddings, if that's the surprise," she joked a little. "My heart can't take it."

"My wallet wouldn't be able to take it." he chuckled.

"Tell Allison that next time you buy her millions of tutus." Lacy snorted.

"Then she'd tell me to go in your wallet."

"Our baby's so smart." She snorted.

"She sure is. Must get it from her mother." he joked.

"She's pretty like her Mommy, too." She chuckled. "Gonna have to keep those boys away."

"Oh I will have no problem with that." he smirked as he pulled into the driveway of the cottage. "Here we are."

Lacy blinked and looked around at the cottage. "We have cottages here?" she chuckled a little. "We're staying here or something?"

"Yes and yes." he nodded. "We're staying for the weekend."

"Not that I don't appreciate the surprise, but... what for?"

"Just to get you away from everything." he told her as he parked and turned to face her. "I know you're pissed at Colt and still worried about Ellie and her kids and all that, so I just want you to get a weekend away to clear your head and relax. Let it be stress free."

"Am I ever stress free?" She smiled a little and leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." he said. "Now get all our bags and I'll wait inside." he joked as he got out to get the bags.

"You're very funny." She said dryly as she got out of the car to go help him and grab her bag.

"I should go on tour and perform my jokes." he chuckled.

"No, I like you here, with me." She chuckled. "I like you being around, you know."

"Oh yeah? Not tired of me yet?" he asked as he closed and locked the car once he got their stuff.

"No, of course not." She chuckled. "After not having you around much for years, I'm never getting sick of you."

"Good thing I'll be sticking around for a little longer." he said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder and lead her inside.

"A lot longer, hopefully." she laughed a little. "I know it was hard for you to walk away from the business like you did," she said as she walked with him.

"Yeah well, it's not about me anymore. Family comes first." he said as they walked in. "Here we are."
