He nodded. "We'll figure something out so Maddie won't fall behind. I'm sure Candice and Jeff won't mind. I'm pretty sure she'd love to have you helping her with their baby on the way." he smiled a little bit.

"Definitely. Plus, I'd have somebody to talk to. I would go to Lacy, but...she's already had enough on her plate. I don't want to bother her, you know?"

He nodded. "That, and Lacy's temper scares me...I can't imagine how crazy she'd get if she knows what happened...Candice and Jeff are the safer options." he joked a little.

"I know she'd be supportive, but I don't think this is such a big deal after what happened to her. She's dealt with worse." she shrugged. "Though you're right, she'd probably get upset and want to kill that jerk."
