Christmas Together

Jeff smiled. "Thanks guys!" he grinned.

AJ smiled. "You're welcome."

"Yes, thank you so much." Candice smiled.

"Not a problem." Ellie said.

"This scrapbook will definitely come in handy." Candice nodded as she grabbed a box and handed it over to Jeff. "I figured since we're all opening gifts, you should open one here."

Jeff had gotten a soda from AJ and arched his eyebrow. "Baby, we exchanged gifts at home." he said pouting as he took the gift, curious as to what it was.

"Aww Ellie, isn't that sweet?" AJ smiled.

"I know, but this was one I wanted you to open at another time." she said.

"Aw, it is." Ellie smiled. "AJ, we're not that adorable anymore." she pouted.

Candice laughed a bit and then looked over at Jeff, biting her lip in nervousness a bit, watching him open it. Inside was this book, along with these items and with this as well. What? She wanted to make sure it was true.

He looked at the book curiously...then arched his eyebrow at the blocks. But what really caught his eye were all the pregnancy tests. He took a sip of his soda as he looked at them each one at a time. Each one was positive. He was taking another sip as the realization dawned on him. Without trying to or realizing it, he spit out his soda in shock. "Candice, you're pregnant?!" he exclaimed.

"DUDE!" AJ shouted, as he was in the splash zone.

Ellie snorted at what Jeff did...but was...watching on in shock. She wanted to squeal in excitement. "AHHHH!"....she did.

"Yes." Candice nodded slowly.

"Oh my god..." AJ smiled, realizing it. "Congrats you guys!!!"

Jeff couldn't believe it. "Oh my god...Candice...we're...we're gonna have a baby..." he grinned like an idiot.

"Aw you two!" Ellie smiled. "About time."

Candice thanked AJ and Ellie, then smiled back at Jeff, happy with his reaction. "We are." she giggled.

AJ grinned. "Aww Ellie they're so cute." he grinned.

Jeff couldn't stop smiling. "Candice we're gonna have a baby!!!"

She nodded. "Should we...give them a moment alone?"

"We are!" Candice laughed as she hugged Jeff tightly.

AJ nodded. "Yeah...let's go...check on dinner or something." he said softly.

Jeff hugged her back tightly. "I can't believe it." he said, choking up a little.

"Okay." she said as they headed to the kitchen. "I'm so happy for them." she smiled. "I know they've wanted kids for so long."

"I know." Candice said. "But it's happening."

He nodded. "Yeah I know...and what with her having to be on tour so much. I know Jeff couldn't be happier."

Jeff nodded. "When did you find out?"

"Definitely." she nodded. "Oh man, I think I'm going to start having some serious baby fever." Ellie said.

"Three days ago. I took the tests and then made an appointment, so I went when you were doing some running around buying gifts for Ajay and Maddie."

"Ellie...are you serious? A third one?" he chuckled a little.

Jeff grinned. "Oh my god...what can I do for you, baby? Anything you want." he said excitedly.

"Well...yes." she nodded. "It's just...Maddie is getting ready to go to preschool and Ajay is getting so big, I guess I miss having a little baby around." she shrugged. "I'm not saying we should go for it, but I'd want to try again soon and just see what happens."

"Just promise me that no matter how emotional and hormonal I get, you won't hate me." Candice laughed a little.

He nodded. "I'm more than happy to try again...but remember what the doctors said...Maddie and Ajay were little miracles as it was...so if for some reason we can't get pregnant again...I don't want you to get too upset." he said gently.

"I could never hate you." Jeff smiled as he took his wife in his arms and kissed her deeply.

Ellie nodded. "I'll try not to, I can't make any promises." she chuckled. "I mean, I'd understand...but it'd still be a bummer."

Candice returned Jeff's kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck.

He nodded. "But hey...we have two beautiful kids...who says we can't try for a third?"

He smiled into the kiss. "God I can't wait to see how you grow and the baby..."

"You're right.' she nodded. "We'll see what happens. Until then, let's just...not say anything for a while. Keep it between us."

"I can't wait." Candice said. "I hope it's just a happy and healthy pregnancy."

AJ nodded. "Definitley."

Jeff smiled warmly. "Of course...and a happy, healthy mommy..."

"Good."

"Of course." Candice smiled.
