Confrontation [Punk/Lacy]

"I miss him too." he nodded. "At least you bring him by to see me." he said, obviously he missed Lacy too. A lot. Drummer boy was very sad about this break.

"It wouldn't be fair to him if I kept him away from you." She said as they reached the backyard.

"Yeah well....thanks." he said.

"So what have you and Shannon been up to?" She asked, trying to make conversation. This wa awkward.

"Obviously, he's been talking about you and how this is his chance to move in." he chuckled. "He's insane."

"Doesn't he have a girlfriend?" She asked with a light chuckle as Brandon babbled something and laughed.

He shrugged. "Don't know. He hasn't seen her much."

"Mm." She nodded as Brandon rested his head on Phil's shoulder.

They came up on the track and saw Shannon riding his bike. "He's going to hurt himself one of these days." She chuckled.

"I don't think he cares." he chuckled.

She chuckled. This was the most they've talked in a month, besides from when they were screaming at each other. "I don't think he'll stop anytime soon, so I think I'll just go and give you and Brand on some time together."

"You don't have to go, you could stay. I mean you did drive this far." he said. "Besides, Shannon should be done in a bit. He's just testing out a new bike he bought."

"It's cool. Maybe I'll check out a mall or something." She said.

"No. Stay."

"Uh, alright?" She said.

"Good. We can go inside for a bit, it's chilly out for Brandon." he said leading her inside.

"Okay." She said as she followed him, and as soon as they got inside, Brandon got to babbling their ears off again. "He's excited to see you," she noted.

"Has he been quiet or something?" he asked with a chuckle as they sat in the living room.

"When he actually decides to talk, it's usually about you." She told him as Brandon sat in his lap.

"Strange. I always thought boys would be attached to their mothers."

"He's weird anyway." She chuckled as she tickled Brandon's stomach. "I'm just his food source."

"I guess you're right." he chuckled.

"So, uh... how have you been?"

"Okay, I guess." he shrugged. "How about you? You should be okay now that I'm gone, it's what you wanted so....yeah." he said.

She sighed heavily. "I was angry at the time," she told him.

"Yeah well, it sounded like you really meant it."
