Not Exactly What We Planned

She nodded and handed Madison over to Katie.

"You can walk her down the aisle with you." she smiled, kissing Maddie's cheek, who was still trying to take off her dress.

"Maddie..." she laughed.

Jeff laughed. "Alright, Ellie...hide for a bit so AJ can get into position." he smiled as Ellie went to hide. Jeff knocked on the door.

"It's time?" AJ asked, poking his head out. Jeff nodded. AJ took a deep breath as he made his way up to his position. He was dressed in a pair of black jeans, a white button down shirt and black blazer to match.

Ellie pouted as she hid and bit her lip nervously as she waited until she had to come out again.

"Maddie no. You can't take off your dress." Katie said.

AJ smiled brightly at the sight of Maddie. She looked adorable. He smiled appreciatively at Katie as he got into position.

Jeff saw AJ was in position. "Okay...you ready Ellie?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." she said as she took a deep breath again and smiled.

Katie smiled back at AJ then looked at Maddie.

"Look there's your daddy." Katie whispered.

Madison smiled and tried to reach for him.

AJ smiled at Madison. "Soon, baby girl, soon." he assured his daughter.

Jeff smiled as he and Ellie started down the short aisle.

Maddie pouted as she stayed with Katie.

Ellie grinned as she started walking down the aisle and saw Maddie, Katie and of course AJ. She couldn't wipe the smile off of her face even if she tried and he looked quite handsome she also thought. Smiling, she just continued walking down the aisle with Jeff.

JEff reached the end of the aisle and gave her hand to AJ.

AJ smiled in thanks at Jeff and he smiled at Ellie. She looked so beautiful.

As soon as she was handed over to AJ, she smiled at him.

"Hi." she chuckled.

"Hey you." AJ smiled as they stood together.

She shook her head in amusement and waited for the ceremony to begin.

The justice of the peace said his opening bit. "The bride and groom have elected to do their own vows." he said to Katie and Jeff.

"Ellie...you may go ahead and say your vows." he said, pointing to her.

She nodded and took in a deep breath.

"Well it looks like we’ve really made it this far." she chuckled.

"I remember how we first met. We were paired up for a signing and I had just broken up with my boyfriend, depressed about it for some time. Then when I stepped into that limo and saw you, my heart caught up in my throat and I felt butterflies float around in my stomach, without you doing a thing." Ellie said with a smile.

"Throughout the rest of the day, you were such a gentleman and wouldn’t let me do a thing, like let me pay for my half of our dinner." she teased with a playful glare.

"I think it was that day when I realized that you were the one who was going to change me. Every time I see you or even hear your voice, I get butterflies in my stomach and I tend to blush and smile like an idiot.” she laughed.

"We’ve had a few obstacles here and there, but we overcame them and we came out stronger every time. We’ve shared our fears, our doubts, our dreams, our goals, our hopes and our worries with one another. I’ve cried to you and you’ve been there for me whenever I needed you. There were times when we would cry together and I honestly, couldn’t be any happier than to share those moments with you." she said as she smiled again.

"There were also those moments where we could be completely ridiculous with one another and we could have the most random conversations and we’d never try to judge or make each other feel so embarrassed or stupid. Allen, I believe that’s what love is all about. Not smiling like an idiot, of course, but just being able to be ourselves around each other and feel comfortable with one another. It’s also about being able to share the most intimate and personal things and just being there for whatever happens in each of our lives."

"B-By saying these vows to you, I am promising to give you my entire life and to keep my promises and faithfulness to you. I’m promising to fight, compromise and sacrifice myself for you, if I need too. I’m promising to miss you terribly whenever you go away, no matter what length of time it is and regardless of how many miles apart we will be."

"Allen, I’m promising to believe in our relationship as man and wife, to stand by it through the worst of times and to have the strength as a couple and to never ever give up on us. I love you so much that I want to spend the rest of my life with you and be there for you whenever you want or need me. I’ll never want to leave you or live without you." she said as she felt herself tearing up and looked over at Maddie, who was still messing with her dress.

Ellie laughed and shook her head in amusement.

"You've given me everything I could ever ask for, especially our beautiful daughter, Madison. I love you and I always will." she smiled as a tear rolled down her cheek and she finished her vows, then wiped her tear away.

AJ felt himself tear up and a few tears actually escaped. He wiped his tears as it was his turn to say his vows.

"Wow...Ellie...I...I know this whole thing was last minute....but it works for us..." he started with a small chuckle.

"I remember that day of the signing too....so so well. I remember when you opened that limo door. I was just...blown away by how beautiful you looked. You made me feel at home...just when I'm with you. I feel like I'm home. I don't have to be in Georgia, or North Carolina, or anywhere. As long as I'm with you, I am home." he smiled softly.

"We've been through a lot since we got together, but we overcame it all. The doctors and so-called experts told you that you would never be able to conceive a child. Well we proved them wrong. We conceived our beautiful, healthy, baby daughter Madison. We've built a real life together. you've seen me at my lowest and I, you. I'm not afraid to be myself or let you see the real me." he said, feeling himself choke up a bit.

"Ellie, you make me feel like...I can't even describe how amazingly great you make me feel. Whenever you smile at me, my heart skips a beat. Whenever you're in pain, my heart breaks and I'd do anything to switch places with you. Just knowing we're here right now, taking this step into our lives...our future. There's nothing we can't do." he grinned.

"I, Allen Jones, promise with my whole body, mind, soul, and life, to always be faithful and loving as your husband. I promise to share everything with you, both the good and bad. I promise to always take you as my wife, my soul mate, and my best friend. It always hurts like hell when I have to away from you, and now it hurts worse when I'm gone because I have to be away from you and Madison." he chuckled.

"I love you Ellie...more then I thought I could ever love anyone. when I pictured my life...I always pictured myself, a wife, children, a home, all that stuff. What I have with you...is SO much richer and so much better. I promise to give you a secure life full of love and of course, ups and downs." he chuckled, finishing his vows.

She cried as Allen finished his speech and smiled through the tears as the ceremony continued.

"And now the rings."

Jeff handed the justice of the peace the rings. "AJ...you go first." AJ took the ring to put on her hand.

"With this ring...I thee wed." AJ smiled, slipping the ring onto her finger.

She smiled once again and took his ring, beginning to put it on his hand.

"With this ring, I thee wed." she said as she put it on his finger.

He smiled.

"Very good...by the power vested in me by the state of Nevada, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

AJ did so as soon as the justice of the peace finished his sentence. He wrapped his arms around her tightly as they kissed.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back passionately as they were now husband and wife, it felt amazing to her.

He picked her up and spun her around as they continued to kiss.

She giggled as she broke the kiss hesitantly.

"You're so crazy." she teased.

"Yes, crazy about you." he smiled as he stole another kiss.
