A Family BBQ (Hardys and Ortons)

"I don't have to get used to anything young lady." Gilbert said.

He grabbed his gun back then pointed it at Randy's chest.

"You promise to never hurt Katie?" Gilbert asked.

"Hm I wonder if he'd actually shoot you." Matt said to Randy.

She rolled her eyes and sat down.

"I swear on my life, I would never ever hurt Katie." he said seriously as Jake started crying.

"He's lying." Matt said.

"Matt shut up!" Katie snapped as she took Jake and tried to calm him down.

"Now what if a playboy playmate came up to you and tried to get you in bed what would you do?" Gilbert asked.

"Ignore them. I only want Katie now."

"Alright. I'll accept that answer for now." Gilbert said before he sat down on a chair.

"Thank you." he said letting out a breath as Jake started to calm down.

Katie kissed Jake on his cheek then gently rubbed his back. She set Jake down to grab one of his toys but watched with a wide smile as she watched him slowly walk towards Randy, taking his first steps.

"I got the camera!" Matt yelled as he started taping Jake.

"Hey, he's walking!" Randy smiled as Jake walked to him.

"Yeah he is." Katie said with the wide smile still on his face.

Jake continued walking then smiled when he reached Randy.

"Dad." Jake said as he lifted his arms up to Randy.

"That's my boy." Randy chuckled as he picked Jake up again.

"At least Matt caught it on camera." Ellie smiled.

"I've only not had this beautiful camera once." Matt said.

Katie smiled then walked over and kissed Jake on his head.

"Good job cutie." Katie said.

"I want ice cream now." Jake said.

"Gah, he's so cute. Now he's saying more than one word."

"Duh El, my kid is smart."

"It's still cute." Katie said as she pinched Randy's arm.

"I'll get it for him." Gilbert said as he got up and went into the kitchen.

"Right sorry, ow."

Gilbert came back and gave Jake some chocolate ice cream.

"Thank you." Jake said with a smile before he started eating.

"Such a cute kid." Gilbert said with a smile.

"I think he takes after his mother though."

Gilbert looked at Jake.

"He has some of your features." Gilbert said.

"True, but his habits are like hers too. For instance, his love of ice cream, he gets that from Katie."

"True but he always does that silly pose you used to do." Gilbert said.

"It's not silly." Katie said and smiled as Jake did the pose Randy used to do.

"When Jake does it, it's adorable."

"Yes it is." Katie said as she smiled at Jake.

Jake got off the couch then walked into the kitchen.

"Ice cream mommy!" Jake yelled.

"Alright I'm coming sweetie." Katie said.

"Get me mint chocolate chip." Matt said.

"You can get it yourself."

"Why would I do that when I have a beautiful sister who will do it for me?" Matt asked.

"Stop sucking up Matt and get it yourself." Katie said as she walked back into the living room with Jake.

Jake walked back over to Randy as he ate his ice cream.

"Ha, win." she smirked as Randy put Jake on his lap.

Matt stuck his tongue out then walked into the kitchen.

Jake looked up at Randy then flicked ice cream in his face.
