Family Visit (Katie and Jeff)

Katie was in the living room playing with Jake when she heard a knock on the door. She picked up the three month old baby then went over to the door to answer it. Katie smiled when she opened the door to see her brother Jeff.

"Hey." Katie said.

"Hey sis..." he smiled a bit. Jeff knew he hadn't been around much as of late and he felt pretty weird about it, not to mention he wanted to be able to spend some time with his nephew.

"Hey Jake..." he smiled warmly at the baby.

"I know I haven't been around much...and I'm sorry for that, but you know how I get...sometimes I just get so wrapped up in stuff that I shut myself out..." he said softly.

"It's okay, I know you've been busy. Come in." Katie said as she moved to the side to let Jeff in.

"Thanks..." he said softly. "So how's the new mommy doing?" he asked with a small smile.

"I've been great. Busy with Raw, being a mom, a good girlfriend, and planning a wedding but great." Katie said with a smile.

She looked at Jeff.

"Want to hold to hold your nephew?" Katie asked.

He listened and smiled, nodding. "Yeah, I'd love to." he smiled as he took the small baby from her.

"Wait...did you say wedding?"

"Yeah, I'm engaged to Randy." Katie said with a wide smile.

HE smiled widely. "Congrats, Katie." he said sincerely before returning his attention to the baby.

"Hi there, Jake." he grinned.

"Thanks." Katie said with a smile as she watched Jake grin and play with the Hardy necklace around Jake's neck.

He chuckled. "Ah yes...a Hardy boy at heart...even if your last name is Orton." he winked at his nephew. "When you get older, I'll get you a pendant and some other stuff." he smiled.

"so when do you and Randy plan on getting married?"

Jake's grin widened as he continued playing with the pendant.

"We haven't set an exact date but we want it soon." Katie said.

He nodded as he started making funny faces at Jake which made him laugh. "God you're cute, Jake...it's a good thing you don't take after your mom." he whispered loudly, teasing his sister.

"Excuse me?" Katie asked with a grin on her face.

He stuck his tongue out at her. "This baby is way too cute to have come from you." he smirked as Jake continued to laugh and play with his pendant.

"I hope your future baby looks like Candice and not you." Katie said.

"I hope so too. I know I'm funny looking." he smirked since he knew Katie would try to turn it back on him.

Katie eyed Jeff.

"Give me my baby." Katie said before she took Jake.

Jake looked curiously between them since he'd been pretty comfortable and he started wo whine and wriggle, wanting to go back to Jeff.

"Ha!"

Katie looked at Jake.

"I go through the pain of giving birth to you and this is how you repay me?" Katie asked before she handed Jake back to Jeff.

He chuckled as he held the little baby. "Aw Katie...you know it's nothing personal...I just have a lot of bright colors and shiny stuff on my body." he said more sincerely in reference to his tattoos, colored hair, and his jewelry.

Katie nodded with a smile.

"Do you want anything to drink?" Katie asked.

"Water?" he asked with a smile as he sat down with the baby on the floor to play with him.

"Sure." Katie said as she walked into the kitchen.

He laid on his back on the floor and put Jake on his stomach, letting the baby crawl over him.

Katie walked back into the living room with a bottle of water then smiled when she saw Jake crawling towards Jeff.
