Dealing With Disaster (Jeff, Candice, and Katie)

"That's what you said before when I told you what Stacy said to me." Katie said.

She stood up then slowly backed away from Jeff.

"You said I was going to be safe, everyone did! Then he raped me!" Katie yelled as tears poured out of her eyes.

"Katie..." he said, almost afraid of what she was going to do.

"Katie, calm down a little bit...we can talk...talk to me...it could help." he said, trying everything in his power to help her.

Katie fell to her knees as she sobbed.

"Why did this have to happen Jeff? Why?" Katie asked.

He felt himself tear up and a few tears escaped. "I don't know Katie...I'm sorry...I don't know..." he said wiping at his eyes.

Katie looked up at Jeff.

"I should have just listened to Stacy. If I did this wouldn't have happened." Katie said.

"You wouldn't have known that this would happen, sweetheart." he said softly. "No one knew..." he said softly.

"Yes I did! Stacy told me Nick would get me if I didn't break up with Randy but I didn't listen because I love Randy!" Katie yelled.

She thought for a second.

"It's all his fault." Katie muttered.

"Who's fault?" he asked, a little confused.

"Randy's! If it wasn't for him this wouldn't have happened. Stacy wanted Randy and Randy's just a ladies man. I should have just given her what she wanted." Katie said.

"Whoa, what's all the yelling about?" Candice said, entering the room.

(sorry I'm late lol, I've been doing a project that's due on Tuesday so the last few days have been tight)

"It's Randy's fault I was raped." Katie said before she grabbed the necklace that Randy gave her and threw it against the wall.

"Oh Sweetie no," Candice shook her head. "Randy loves you."

"He's a ladies man. He was probably with Stacy when we met then broke her heart and that's why she got Nick so she could make me suffer. It's all Randy's fault that this night is going to stay with me forever." Katie said before she started crying.

"Oh honey, no one could know what Stacy would do." Candice hugged her. "This is all her fault. And I promise you, I'll make her pay."

Katie hugged Candice back.

"I'm so confused and scared Candice. I don't know what to think anymore." Katie said.

"I know Sweetie, but you're safe here, I promise. We'll get through this, somehow, we will." Candice assured her.

He nodded. "Candice is right...for now, just try and relax a little...you wanna take a nice hot bath upstairs?" he offered.

"I think it'll be good for you." Candice agreed. "Relax your muscles."

Katie slowly stood up.

"Yeah. A bath sounds good." Katie muttered.

He smiled a little at Candice. "Yeah...we have bubbles and stuff too."

Candice stood up and put an arm around her shoulders. "Come on, I'll help you get settled." She looked over at Jeff. 'Be right back.' She mouthed.

He nodded, sitting back down on the couch and relaxing as much as he could.

Katie sniffled as she went up the stairs with Candice.

"I'm so lucky to have you and Jeff." Katie said.

"Sweetie, you always have us. He's your brother and you're my best friend." Candice assured her.

Katie nodded.

"Thanks Candy. I just can't wait to get some clothes on. I hate walking around with just a sheet." Katie muttered.
