He smiled as he hugged her back. when she finally got done, he pulled out his credit card. The price was a bit steep, but it was worth it to make his baby sister happy. Because he spent a good chunk of money, they gave him a nice carrying case for her.

"You want to use this? Or get a purse?" he asked chuckling as he handed back the store's copy of the receipt.

"I already got one." Katie said with a smile as she put all the things Jewel needed onto the counter.

They helped the two of them get set up and put everything in bags for them. "I'll be sure to help you get Jewel settled. I'm a dog expert." he said winking.

"Now...let's put all this extra stuff back in the car and come back in so you can finish your shopping." he suggested.

They got everything set as he carried the bags to the car. "So...I hope Jewel can keep you company and help keep you happy." he said softly as he pet the little puppy.

"I've found a dog is one of the best companions ever." he said smiling.

Katie smiled as Jewel started licking her arm as she held the puppy.

"I agree they are." Katie said before she kissed the puppy on the head.

He smiled as they loaded everything away and started back for the mall. "Now you do realize I'm not gonna buy you too much more today." he said laughing.

"Yes!" he said triumphantly. "But one thing won't change...I'm still getting you a cookie cake...as long as you split it with me." he added quickly.

He laughed. "That was the plan from the start on that one." he explained.

"Alright..." he said as they re-entered the mall. "Lead the way."

Katie grabbed Jeff's arm then dragged him into a store then went over to a rack of clothes.

"Here Jeff hold these." Katie said as she started giving Jeff different clothes to hold.

He sighed. "Fine...but only because apparantly things are going bad with...you know..." he siad, not wanting to say Randy's name out loud.
