Puppy Shopping (Candice and Jeff)

"Yay, we're here!" Candice giggled excitedly as Jeff pulled into the parking lot of the pound.

"Alright, calm down a little. The dogs aren't going anywhere yet." he said smiling at how excited she was.

"But I can't wait." She laughed.

"Come on." he said as he locked the car and started for the pound.

Candice slipped her hand into his. "This is going to be so much fun."

He nodded, holding the door open for her and they went inside.

Once inside, Candice had to restrain herself from running to look in all the cages. "Where should we start?"

"How about the beginning?" he asked referencing the closest cages.

"Right." She laughed stepping forward to look inside. "Aw!" She crooned over a pair of yellow lab puppies. "So cute."

She moved down the next cage to fawn over an adult German Shepard overwhelmed with joy at all the dogs.

He cursed himself for not bringing a camera with him. She looked so cute and so excited. HE looked around as well. He spotted a husky puppy that was pretty cute and he smiled as he kept looking.

"I don't know how I'm going to choose one." Candice pouted. "They're all so cute!"

"Well you gotta pick one." he said as he kept looking. All these dogs were adorable and they were even cuter because they all wanted and needed a home.

Candice sighed, browsing along the cages. She bring them all home if she could, but it was hard narrowing it down to one.

Jeff was having a hard time as well. "They're all just...so cute." he said softly, looking around.

It was love at first sight when Candice reached the very last cage. "Oh! Jeff come see!"

Jeff hurried to her side. "What is it, baby?"

"He's perfect, look at him!" Candice explained, pointing to the black and white pitbull cross puppy who was spining in delighted circles at their attention.

He smiled as he looked at the puppy. "He's adorable..." he said smiling. He looked at a few more cages and his herat just about stopped.

"Oh my..." he said softly, kneeling.

"Candice, look" he said, pointing at the dog that stole his heart.

"Aw he's precious." Candice knelt down beside Jeff.

"I like him...dachshunds are so cool...with the long weeny shape." he said chuckling as the dog's little legs were going crazy as it ran around and its big floppy ears were flopping.

Candice laughed. "He's so tiny."

"I like smaller dogs." he said smiling.

"Besides, his weeny shape makes up for lack of height." he explained.

Candice giggled. "So we'll get a little dog and a bigger one."

"Exactly." he said smiling.

"It all evens out, I think."

"It should." Candice grinned. "We have dogs now!" She giggled.
