Girls Night Out (Katie and Candice)

"She's breathing!" Randy exhaled and let him feel a little relief, before he stroke her wet hair out of her face. "Katie, Sweetheart? Come on, wake up. Open those eyes I love so much, please?" He said gently pressing his mouth to hers. "Come on, Baby, wake up."

When he saw her eyes starting open, relief flooded him. "Candice? Candice?" he asked softly, hopefully. "It's Jeff..." he said carressing her face. There was definite evidence that she'd been hit and as angry as he was...he was just glad she was safe now.

Katie moaned softly then started coughing a little bit. She slowly opened her eyes a few seconds later.

Candice blinked as her vision refocused and settled on Jeff's face. "Jeff." She said hoarsely.

"Oh God, Katie." Randy cradled her gently against his chest. "It's me, you're safe now. Oh God...Katie, I love you so much."

Hearing her speak...it had to be one of the most beautiful sounds he'd ever heard. "Candice...oh thank god..." he said holding her close, kissing her hair, her face. "I'm here...you're safe..." he said softly.

Katie closed her eyes again as she tried to breath normally again.

"Randy." Katie muttered as she put a hand on Randy's arm.

Candice clung to Jeff as she regained her bearings. She was alive, she was in Jeff's arms and she was safe. "Please just tell me you kicked that prick's ass good and proper?" She said weakly.

Randy looked down at Katie's bruised face and felt his anger at Nick and Michael war with his relief that she was all right. "I'm right here, Katie. God, I love you. You're safe now, I promise."

He nodded, actually feeling himself tear up a little that she was okay. "I did...he's not getting up...thank god you're safe." he said hugging her.

"Of course I am." Candice burrowed into his shoulder. "I've got you. I knew you'd come, somehow, some way you'd get here."

"I love you too." Katie said weakly as she rested her head on Randy's shoulder.

She gulped then coughed again making her ribs ache.

"Ow." Katie muttered with a soft moan.

He nodded. "Come on...do you think you need to see a doctor? What did the bastard do to you?" he asked worriedly as he picked her up.

Randy grit his teeth and tried to keep his temper under control. Katie needed him right now. "Do you need a Doctor? I'll get you to the hospital." He said, lifting her into his arms bridal style.

Candice nuzzled into Jeff's arms and shook her head. "No Doctor. Just bruises. I've have a smart mouth, got punched a bit for it, and he ruined my dress but that's all. I spit blood in his face."

Katie shook her head.

"I'm fine, I just want to go home and get clothes on." Katie said even though her whole body was in pain.

Jeff was seething now. "I like that smart mouth...I don't know...I think I should still take you to the hospital..." he said as he picked her up bridal style and carried her through the house. Michael was still out on the floor and he took a quick moment to kick him a few more times and stomp on him as he walked out of the house as he carried Candice to his car.

Randy set Katie down for a moment, keeping one arm around her to support her against his side, while the other peel his shirt over his head. "Here." He gently pulled it over Katie's head and helped her arms through. "Not that seeing you wet and in your underwear isn't sexy, Baby, but this might make you feel more comfortable til we get home." He lifted her again.

"I like my smart mouth too." Candice relaxed against Jeff and snuggled in. "No hospital, just your place and bed, please. You can nurse me back to health."

Katie smiled a little as she looked at Randy.

"Thank you sweetie." Katie said.

He sighed. Hearing her voice like that just made him give in even though he was worried as hell. "Alright..." he said softly as he carried her to his car. He took a quick glance at Randy and Katie before leaving that awful house and gently set CAndice in the passenger seat and put her seat belt on her. Then he took off the jacket he was wearing and covered her with it like a blanket.

He got into the driver's seat and started back home.

"You're welcome, Baby." Randy told her settling her in the passenger seat of his Hummer. "Let's go home."

"Thanks." Candice wrapped Jeff's jacket tightly around her. "Hey Jeff, there's something I want to tell you. Being trapped down there had me thinking."

He started the engine but didn't start driving. "Oh? What about?" he asked softly, facing her.

Katie nodded then wrapped her arms around herself to keep warm.

"I'd feel so better to be at home with you." Katie said.

"There was a moment where I didn't think you'd find me alive...and it freaked me out a bit because I'd never get the chance to say goodbye to you and tell you how I feel." She shook her head and willed those thoughts away. "I don't want to have those regrets if I ever wind up in a situation of life or death again. I want you to know what's in my heart."

She lifted her chin and looked directly into his eyes. "I love you."

"You're going to have to bear with me, Katie. After this...I was so scared I'd lost you..." He trailed off. "You're not leaving my sight for a long time."

Katie hugged Randy tightly.

"Trust me after tonight I don't want you to leave my side for a second. I was so scared Randy!" Katie cried as she let tears fall from her eyes.

He listened to her and as she mentioned him not finding her alive, he took a deep breath. "When I found you...you weren't breathing..I was so scared that I lost you." he said softly. He listened to the rest of what she said and it felt like time had stopped. Those few tears he'd been holding in escaped him as he wiped at his eyes.

"Candice...I love you too..." he said unbuckling his seat belt and hugging her tightly as he barraged her face with feather-soft, gentle kisses. "We're gonna stop by your place to grab your stuff...and then you're coming to stay with me for a while." he said sternly.

Randy held her against him and kissed her hair. "I'm sorry, Katie, I'm so sorry. I should have been there, I should have protected you. This will never happen again, I promise. No one will ever touch you again."

Candice expelled her own tears as she held onto him tightly. "Okay." She agreed, her voice thick with emotion.

"Oh God, Jeff." She flung her arms around him and shuddered. "I'll admit it now, I won't be brave about it anymore, I was so scared, all I wanted was you."

"Please keep that promise, I never want to ever go through that again. It was the scariest moment of my life." Katie said as she held onto Randy.
