"You won't be saying that when you're sick." she snorted as the nurse came in to check on her.

"How are we doing?"

"I'm alive, so I guess good." Ellie said.

The nurse chuckled. "Very good. We'll be taking her for x-rays soon to see what's going on with your chest and it should tell us what's going on with her."

"Can you give her some sort of pain reliever for her fever?" he asked. "Or is it too soon. She's burning up."

She nodded. "I'm just going to take her temperature and then I'll give her medication to bring it down." she told her as she took Ellie's temperature. "103." she told Ellie, who frowned. "I'll be back with that medication." the nurse said as she left.

"I am dying." Ellie said.

She nodded and did so, for about ten minutes until the nurse came back and gave her something for her fever. They then were going to roll Ellie out to get her x-ray. "Will you be waiting here or coming with us, sir?"
