A few hours had passed since his Mom had texted back. The nurses did come in and out to check on Ellie, but she was still knocked out. Eventually, she started to come around and woke up, sitting up a little and letting out a yawn as she looked around at the machines.

Scott hadn't really slept because he was too busy looking after Ellie. He was sitting in the chair next to her bed when she woke up and grabbed her hand lightly. "Hey, how are you feeling?"

"Hungry and thirsty." she chuckled a little. "Seriously, I feel better than I did yesterday." she said. "I'm not as tired either."

" 'Cause you were actually able to get some sleep." he said. "You have pneumonia."

"Yeah." He said. "They don't have to drain your lungs or anything and they want to keep you for observation before they let you go home."

"Starving." she said. "I just hope the food stays down this time."

"We'll see." he said as he buzzed for the nurse.

"We will." she nodded as the nurse came in.

"Oh, good morning!" she smiled at Ellie. "Need something?"

Ellie nodded a bit and gave a small smile. "I'm hungry, I wanted to know if I can get something to eat."

"Sure, coming right up!" she said happily as she left the room to get her food.

"...she's like so happy." Ellie snorted.
