Meeting Her Nieces

It had been a couple of weeks since Candice had the twins and Ellie had yet to meet them in person. She headed down to Cameron with Maddie and Ajay to spend some time with Jeff, Candice and the girls. It had been a while since she had spent time with them anyway. Approaching the front door, she rang the doorbell.

Jeff was holding AkiAnne while Candice was tending to Ruby. He heard the doorbell and went to answer it. He smiled warmly as he saw who it was. "Well well well...if it isn't my baby sister and her two wonderful children." he chuckled. "Come on in, guys." he said softly since AkiAnne was trying to sleep.

"Hey." she said softly as she lead Maddie in. "You mind if I put Ajay in the guest room?" she asked, since she was carrying Ajay and he was asleep.

"Go for it." he smiled. "Hey Maddie...how are you?" he smiled warmly at his neice. "You're getting so tall."

"Be right back." she said as she went to put Ajay in the guest room.

"I'm good." she grinned. "And I'm gonna get taller than...uh...well, than somebody." she nodded.

"Of course you are." he chuckled. "Hey...wanna meet one of your new baby cousins?" he offered.

"Ohhhh okay. Can I hold her too?" she asked.

He thought about it for a moment. "O-okay...just be really careful. You have to hold her with both arms...and make sure you hold up her head." he instructed.

"Why don't you sit on the sofa, Maddie and then we'll help you hold her." Candice suggested as she walked into the room, Ellie following behind her as she held Ruby.

"Hm, okay." Maddie said as she sat on the couch. "I'm readyyy."

"There we go." he smiled as he ever so gently set AkiAnne in Maddie's arms. "Maddie...this is your cousin AkiAnne."

"AkiAnne." she repeated. "I'll just call her Aki." she giggled as Candice helped Maddie hold her.

"Aw, Jeff...you guys make cute babies." she chuckled as she held Ruby.

"Well they do take after their mom." he winked at Candice.

"Oh Jeff." Candice laughed a bit.

Ellie chuckled and handed Ruby back to Candice. "Are you both getting any sleep?"

"Believe it or not, I am." Candice chuckled. "They're not too bad at night and I'm already used to their schedule."

"Yeah...we got lucky...it just gets rough when we get one asleep and the other doesn't want to...and then suddenly the one who was asleep wakes up again and they're both cranky...usually AkiAnne falls asleep first." he chuckled.

Candice nodded. "That's the only part that gets me, but other than that, like I said they're good girls."

"I'm just glad I didn't have twins." she chuckled.

He nodded. Then he laughed. "But it would have been funny to see." he smirked.

"Uh, I think not." she snorted. "With Maddie and Ajay, I feel like I have twins already." she chuckled.

He laughed. "So how are things going, Ellie?"

"Things are really good and busy." she said. "ROH gave me an offer to work for them, when they're in Chicago and I'll be making appearances at local indy shows."

"That's awesome, Ellie." he said, genuinely. "Would you be wrestling again? Or just as a valet or manager?"

"Well they're have me manage somebody for a while, then if they need me for matches, I'll be wrestling." she said.

"Aw, well that sounds great." Candice said.

"Sweet." he smiled. "So how are things with the men in your life?" he smirked a little. He heard Ellie got a new boyfriend but that was it.

"They're uh very good." she chuckled. "I've been seeing, Scott...well, Colt. You know Punk's friend? We've been together for a while now." she nodded.

"Oh...well alright then." he chuckled. "How are things with AJ?" he asked curiously. "Or are things just...not?"

"Well when I see him, it's when he comes to pick up the kids. We exchange hellos and all that, but mostly when we talk it's about Maddie and Ajay." she said.
