Meeting Each Other [AJ/Lacy]

Lacy walks into the gym with a slight limp, her black leg brace on her leg that helped support her leg and enabled her to walk after her ACL surgery a few months back. She'd gone into the gym for light exercise as usual, in another month she could start running again.

She slipped off her hoodie to leave her in grey workout shorts and a black sports bra, going to start on the treadmill.

AJ entered the gym. He hadn't had a really good work out in a while and he knew he needed to get back into his routine. He got into the gym and found an open treadmill so he could get his cardio part of the workout over with and out of the way.

Lacy starts her treadmill off at a slow but steady pace as she sees someone from out of the corner of her eye get on the treadmill next to her and start off at a slow pace to warm up but still at a quicker pace than she was going. "Well... I feel like a loser." She jokes.

He glanced next to him and smiled. "Why would you say that?" he asked, slowing himself a little so he could talk. "everyone has their own pace." he pointed out.

"Yeah, my usual pace is a bit derailed by this," she points at her right leg that was in a brace.

"That would do it." he said with a soft smile. "Oh, where are my manners? I'm Allen...but most people would know me as AJ Styles." he smiled warmly.

She smiles back, "I'm Lacy, but most people know me as... Lacy." She chuckles.

He chuckled. "you look really familiar though...but we've never met...how is that possible?" he asked, trying to place where he'd seen her before.

"Um." Lacy thinks while walking. "Maybe you've seen me backstage at a ppv? I'm on Raw."

"Oh that's right...yeah." he nodded. "And...I think you're close friends with my girlfriend...Ellie...Ellie Hardy."

"Oh, right." She nods. "Well nice to finally meet you."

"Nice to meet you...so what happened to your knee?" he asked curiously.

"Tore my ACL training someone." She states. "I didn't perform a Lou Thesz press correctly or the girl that I was training didn't catch me in time. I've stopped trying to figure it out."

He cringed. "Ouch...well at least you're recovering." he said, finding the positive. "Have you already started rehab and physical therapy?"

"Yes. Me walking at a snails pace is physical therapy." She chuckles.

He laughed. "I meant formal rehab and physical therapy."

"Oh, yep. Four days a week." She nodded. "They want me to start walking without the brace in a week or so."

"That's good news then." he smiled. "When can you start getting back into the ring?"

"You know, I'm not sure. Maybe another six months. Congratulations in your title win by the way." She smiles.

"Yikes...but hey, when you come back, it should be really awesome." he smiled.

"Hm? Oh, thanks...it was a really fun match workin with Punk."

"It was fun to watch." She nodded.

"Well it's always nice to hear that from someone who knows what they're talking about." he chuckled.

"I could put on the talentless bimbo act if you'd like." She chuckles.

"Oh please dear God no." he shuddered a bit.

"Yeah I think I would disown myself if I ever did that, so you're safe." She chuckles.
