Meeting His Folks

Maryse was at Mike's house and they were just enjoying their day off with one another. They had been dating for quite some time now and she enjoyed it a lot. He was completely different than what he expected and that was in a good way. They didn't know this..but Mike's parents were in town and they were going to stop by...well after they called him. Maryse heard his phone ringing next to her, from the couch where she was currently cuddled up to Mike. She reached over to hand it to him.

He kept one of his arms around her and saw the caller ID. HE answered. "Mom?" he answered.

"Hey Mike! Your dad and I just wanted to let you know we're in LA! We're on our way to your house! We're gonna be there in about 15 minutes, okay~?"

"Uh...uh..."

"Something wrong?"

"No...uh...see you soon, I guess." he said before hanging up. Then he turned and smiled nervously to Maryse. "My parents are coming over...they'll be here in about 15 minutes..."

"...uh wow, okay." she chuckled a bit. "Do you want me to stay or what?"

"Well yeah I want you to stay...I'd love for you to meet my parents...that is...if you want to." he added.

She nodded. "Might as well." she said. "I'll stay then."

He nodded. "But...you don't have to if you don't want to." he told her. He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable.

"No I want to." she nodded. "I was going to have to meet then eventually anyway."

He nodded, kissing her cheek.

"Well then, do I look okay to meet your parents?"

"You look gorgeous...they'd be crazy not to love you."

"I hope they do."

"They will." he smiled, gently turning her face to capture her lips in a soft kiss.

She returned his kiss and then pulled away a couple moments later. "...well then, what are we going to do with them?"

"That's a good question....but I was thinking we could take them out to eat? Any ideas?"

"Hm, how about Boa?"

"Sounds perfect." he smiled.

"And I'm sure they'll like it there."

He nodded. "They do love a good steak."

"Then they'll love it." she chuckled. "Hopefully it's a great night."

"It will be." he smiled at her.

She smiled back and nodded. "Did they say how long they'll be here for?"

"No...but I'm sure just a few days."

She nodded. "Maybe I could take your Mom out shopping."

Mike smiled. "See? You're the best." he winked. "She'd probably really like that."

"Who wouldn't?" she asked with a laugh. "I need a new pair of shoes anyway."
