Once Again

Maddie nodded. "You've got it, Colt Cabana!" Hanging out with Punk too much.

He chuckled and ruffled her hair. "I love you, cutie."

"Scotty, my hair." she giggled as she fixed it. "Love you toooooo."

He kissed her forehead with a small chuckle and headed out of the room.

"Mommy, you didn't kiss Scottyyyy." she giggled.

"I'm sick, so we don't kiss." she told her. Somewhat the truth, lol.

"Oh yeah, then he gets your nasty germs."

"Hey, watch it." Ellie laughed as she tickled her a little.

"Kay, I be nice."

Ellie nodded and well...would wait around until Colt had to leave.

A few hours later, Scott was all packed and ready to leave. He promised Ajay he'd see him before he left, so he pulled his bags downstairs and saw Ajay with Ellie on the couch. "Alright bud, I'm out."

Ajay got off of the couch and went over to Colt. "Okay." he pouted.

He picked Ajay up and ruffled his hair. "I'll be back before you even get a chance to miss me." he chuckled. "Punk and Lacy are coming over, so be good for them and help them take care of your Mom, okay?"

"Okay, I will." he nodded.

He put him down and waved slightly at Ellie. Didn't know what else to do.

She waved back. "Be safe." she said as Ajay went back to her.

About a week later, Scott pulled up in Ellie's driveway and made his way in. He just got done with wrestling. "Guys?"

Maddie was in the kitchen eating lunch when she heard him. She'd been waiting for her toy, lol. And for Colt of course. "Scotty!" she giggled as she ran to him.

"Hey." He chuckled and swooped her up, hugging her. He reached into the bag over his shoulder and got out a Barbie for her, just like she asked for. "You think I forgot, little lady?"

"Noooo." she giggled as she took her doll. "Thank you." she grinned as she kissed his cheek.

"No problem." He chuckled. "Hey... go get your mommy to come down here, I want you and Ajay to stay upstairs for a while. Okay?" he asked as he put her down and walked out to get something from his car.

"Okay." she said as she went to get Ellie, who had just finished changing Ajay into his clothes. She let out a sigh and told them to stay upstairs, leaving the tv on for them in their play room. She went downstairs and waited.

Scott came in with his hands behind his back and gave her a small smile. "Hey, El."

"Hi Scott." she said. "Good trip?"

"Great trip. I got something for you."

"You didn't have to." she said as she shook her head.

"That's certainly a response I wasn't expecting." He chuckled a little. "Do you want it or not?"

"Oh...no I didn't mean it like that." she said with a small chuckle, but nodded. "Sure, I want it."

"Well now I'm a little nervous." He chuckled as he brought out the bouquet from behind his back and handed them over to her.

"Scott." she smiled a little as she took them. "These are really beautiful." she said. "Thank you."
