Once Again

"I don't think Lacy would let them go anyway." he said. "Did she flip when she woke up?"

"...not exactly." Scott said. "She was pretty emotional, but she's eating now."

"Good, she needs to do that." he said. "I'll tell Lacy and I'll text you to let you know if she's gonna stop by."

"Well if she does, then I guess I'll leave." he sighed.

"Just keep your head up man. It's all you can do in times like these."

"I guess. Just let the kids know El is okay."

"Will do." he said....then Colt would hear Punk mutter an 'ow, you kicked my leg'. "Scotty, it's me...Maddie." she said. "Where are you?"

Scott chuckled a little. "Hi Maddie. I'm at the hospital with your Mommy."

"Is she better?"

"She still doesn't feel well, but I'm gonna make sure she gets all better. Are you and Ajay being good for Punk and Lacy?"

"Okay and yep, we're being very good. We ate and got dressed and now we're watching tv." she said. "Scotty, when can we go see Mommy?"

"I don't know, cutie, but hopefully not too long from now. It all depends on what the doctor says. But your Mommy is awake and she misses you guys very much."

"We miss her too." she sighed. "I go now. Bye Scotty." she said sadly as she handed Punk his phone back. "Hello."

He sighed. "Hey... tell Lacy Ellie's up so I can come see Maddie and Ajay. I hate to hear her so sad."

He nodded. "I'll tell her to go by. See you soon then."

"Yeah." He hung up and went back in to see Ellie. "He--" he saw the look on her face. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong." she said. "Just a headache."

"Doesn't look like just a headache." He sat at the edge of her bed. "You can still talk to me, you know."

She shook her head. "I'm good." she told him, then tried to change the subject. "Everything good at Punk's?"

"Yeah." He knew something was on her mind, but he wasn't going to drag it out of her. "Lacy's gonna come see you, so I guess I should get out of here."

She nodded a bit. "I guess I'll see you around then."

"I'll be back when she leaves. I'm gonna go check on the kids for you."

"See you later."

She seemed upset with him, so he just nodded and left the room to go to Punk's house.

Well...she broke down and waited for Lacy to arrive, while Punk waited for Colt to get to his place.
