Here We Go Again

Punk walked into the doctor's office with Lacy. Today they had an ultrasound appointment and they would check on their baby, making sure everything was okay. He was always nervous for these appointments, though he would never admit it. He just hope their baby was okay, especially since he knew Lacy had been stressing out and worried something would go wrong. He took a seat with her and looked over at some of the other pregnant women and some of the women with their babies. He leaned over to whisper to Lacy. "Is it wrong to say a baby is ugly?"

Lacy snorted a little at Phil's question, rubbing a hand over her stomach. She glanced over some of the babies and their mothers, shaking her head. "I don't know, is it wrong for other people to say our babies are ugly?"

"Yes because our kids are not ugly." he snorted.

"No, they aren't, but you can't call other kids ugly." She snorted.

"Fine, I'll behave." he chuckled. "Feeling alright today?"

"About as good as I can be getting kicked every ten seconds." She laughed a little. "You?"

"I'm good." he nodded. "I feel better than I have in weeks."

"I'm glad." She smiled a little and leaned over to kiss his cheek.

"Lacy?" The receptionist called. "The doctor can see you now."

Lacy nodded and went to stand up. Took forever. lol. She didn't notice the ladies in the room staring at Punk (the tattoos on his arms and well.. look at him. BABY) while she was getting up, but if she did, she'd probably flip. lol

Punk stood up as well and helped Lacy get to her feet. He knew those women were looking at him (because really...he knew he was hot shit...GOD DAMN)...but didn't pay them any mind. Must have been their hormones or something.

"Thanks." She laughed a little. "I hate being pregnant." She said as she grabbed his hand and they went towards their room.

"It looks annoying and if I were you, I wouldn't have the patience." he chuckled as he followed her.

"Can't ever say I don't love you, putting my body through this for you." She chuckled a little as they got to their room. They checked Lacy's vitals and made sure she was fine before getting her up on the table and having her lay back.

"I know I ask you two this all of the time, but do you want to know what you're having?" The doctor asked.

"Babe?" Lacy looked over at Phil.

"Huh?" he asked, then looked at them. "Oh right uh, I think we should be surprised this time around."

"You aren't even paying attention." Lacy huffed and frowned at him.

"Got distracted." he chuckled. "I'm sorry." he said as he kissed her cheek. "Now you have my full attention."

"Yeah yeah." Almost got his ass in the doghouse. lol.

"We ready?" The doctor laughed as she put the gel on Lacy's stomach (cold ass gel) and turned the machine on, looking until she saw the baby. "And there's baby Brooks."

Punk looked at the monitor, watching and listening to it. "Getting big. Everything is okay with the baby?"

"Everything looks to be-- wait..." The doctor frowned before she gasped a little. "Oh... oh my."

"What?" Lacy didn't like that tone at all.

"I... Lacy, you were complaining about constant kicking? And you're gaining more weight than normal?"

"Yes... what's wrong?" Lacy grabbed Phil's hand. Now she was nervous.

"I... I see two babies." She moved the wand a little so that they could see the other baby. "Look like the little one was hiding behind it's sibling."

Sorry if Lacy broke Phil's hand.

Punk winced a bit, but was still in shock. "I'm sorry....what?"

"There they go." She pointed to the screen, pointing out baby one and baby two. "This is... certainly unexpected." She chuckled.

"Oh God.. oh God!" Lacy covered her face. "Twins? I-- what am I gonna do with four kids?!"

This time around, Punk felt really bad. Yes, he was shocked and happy to hear the baby...er well babies were okay, but he knew Lacy was already stressed out enough and this was making it worse. "I'm not even around." he said. "There's no way this is happening."

"Sorry Phil, but it is." The doctor smiled apologetically. She could feel for Lacy, she knew of their situation with Phil's job and the other two kids they had at home. "We can't take one baby out and just move on with our day, it's two babies or no baby."

Lacy shifted uncomfortably hearing that. She didn't want to not have a baby, but did she really want twins?

"Lacy, you're six months pregnant. At this point, terminating your pregnancy would be dangerous for your health. I get that this is overwhelming, guys, but I would advise not to look at it in such a negative light."

Punk nodded and scratched the back of his head. "Can we get a minute alone?" he asked the doctor. They needed to talk about things and be positive about the situation.

"Absolutely." The doctor nodded and stood up, going to walk out. "I'll be back in a few."

Lacy kept her face covered with her hands. "Twins... fucking twins! How am I going to deal with twins?"

He let out a sigh. "I don't even know. I mean, I'll be home for a few more months."
