Workout with Lacy

Ellie had decided to catch up with Lacy and get a workout in. She was traveling with AJ while he was on the road and knew that Lacy was traveling with Punk for a few days as well. She hadn't seen her since....the wedding actually...or a couple of days after that, so it would be nice to meet up. She still had a bruise on her cheek, but it was fading away and her cut had healed slightly. She took off her sweater and then sat on the floor, getting some stretching in as she waited for Lacy to arrive at the gym.

Lacy walked in wearing a white fitted tank top and black workout pants. She saw Ellie. "Hey, El." She greeted, not yet seeing her face.

"Hey Lacy, about time." she joked as she stood up to greet her with a hug.

"Hey." She laughed and went to hug her, before seeing her face. "Whoa." She frowned.

"Whoa? Oh it's nothing."

"That does look like nothing, El." She frowned in concern. "What happened?"

"Nothing. Ajay was playing with a toy and went to throw it....and his toy met my face." she chuckled.

"What kind of toys are you buying him that are hurting you that bad?" She asked in a tone that showed she clearly didn't believe her.

"Okay fine. I'm lying." she said. "Brad happened. He came by my house and...obviously it wasn't a nice visit."

Her face immediately twisted into a scowl. "That son of a bitch hit you?!" She asked quietly but angrily, so no one would hear her.

"That's not all he did." she muttered. "He...kidnapped me and was going to...rape me or whatever. Luckily I was able to get out and AJ went to take care of him....but he really did a number on me this time."

"Obviously so." She scowled. She'd gone through a similar experience with Phil's brother a while ago that nearly -killed- her, so hearing that this had happened to Ellie, someone who she had viewed as pretty much her little sister, infuriated her to no end. "If that fucker's not in jail or AJ didn't kill him, I'll finish him off myself."

"I know the cops took him...I haven't had an update since then."

"You need a restraining order, Ellie."

"Mhm I know. I just....don't wanna talk about it anymore."

"You're okay, though?" She asked tentatively. "El, you can talk to me. I've been there."

"Yep, I'm perfectly fine."

"You're lying," she said flatly. "But it's cool, I get it. Let's workout then, I guess."

She sighed. "Lacy, I'll talk about it...but just not now. I still...think about it and it just freaks me out, you know? I get all panicked and I have to make sure somebody is with me at all time now or I'll flip."

"I was the opposite. Didn't want anyone near me." She shrugged. "I get it, El, I do. If you don't want to talk about it, no one can make you."

She nodded. "Thanks Lacy."

"Mhm." She nodded. "Now, working out."

"Yes ma'am." she said. "Where to first?"

"Where ever you want." She shrugged. "I haven't been to the gym in ages, I just use ours at home."

"Oh, all fancy." she teased.
