A Real First Date (Maria and Batista)

She gasped playfully. "It's like you're psychic."

"More like determined." He corrected with a laugh.

"Good thing too...that happens to be a trait I find extremely sexy." she said winking.

He grinned. "Good, cause it's how I am." He chuckled.

"I knew I found you sexy beyond your incredible physique, your handsome face, and just how intense you are." she said smiling.

Dave laughed. "I'm more than skin deep."

She smiled. "I know you are...and that's why I'm falling hard for you..." she told him.

"Well that fits, since I've been falling hard for you too." He told her.

She smiled. "You have?"

"Yes, I have, for a long time." He assured her.

"I'm sorry I've been so blind." she said softly.

"I wasn't obvious about it." He chuckled. "You were with Punk at the time. And you have nothing to apologize for."

"I know...but I wish that once I wasn't with him anymore that you would have been obvious about it." she admitted.

"Did you honestly think I would reject you?"

"A little bit, you hardly seemed to notice me for a bit." Dave shrugged. "I'd rather have you as a friend than nothing at all."

"Dave, I never not noticed you. Punk was my most serious relationship for a while so I guess that's why it seemed like I didn't notice. I just sort of kept to myself...but I noticed." she reassured.

He grinned. "Well that's nice to know, I wish I knew it then."

"Well I guess we both dropped the ball there." she said softly.

"That's okay, we're making up for it now." He assured her.

She nodded. "That's right." she said as their waiter came to take their drink order.

"I'd like an apple martini please~" she said smiling.

"Beer for me, Molson if you carry it, if not whatever's on draft is fine." He smiled back at Maria. "I think you made his heart stop there with that smile." He said when the waiter had walked away.

She blushed as she looked back at Dave. "I highly doubt that, but that's sweet of you to say."

"It's the truth, whether you believe it or not. I know mine did." Dave chuckled.

She blushed again, and was genuinely touched. "Dave...how do you do it? How do you honestly make me feel like I'm worth it?"

Dave smiled at her. "It's cause you are."

She smiled at him. "So...do you ever take your own advice?"
