Daddy Time

Ellie was in the bathroom, straightening her hair so that she could go meet up with Lacy. They had made plans a while ago to grab some dinner together and catch up. She was going to cancel dinner since she and Colt were always in and out checking on his Mom, but he told her it was okay. She still felt bad, ha. Since Ellie was going out, the kids were going to stay with Colt. She had explained to them that he was sad, which is why he was acting the way he was.

She finally finished getting ready and grabbed a jacket to put on over her outfit. "Are you sure you don't want me to stay in?" she asked again as she walked into the living room where Colt was. "I don't mind." she told him.

He was picking up after Sophia when he heard her. He chuckled and turned to Ellie, going over and placing an arm around her waist. "El, go out and be sociable. I know you're dying for a night out." He kissed her forehead. "Your butt looks great in those leggings by the way." he grinned softly at her and reached down to pat her butt gently.

"Behave." she snorted as she shook her head. "Don't forget to give Sophia her ear drops and antibiotics in about an hour." she told him. "She has to finish her medicine."

"Yes, and no snacks after 8, in bed by 9, asleep by 10. I've done this before babe." He chuckled. "Take the mommy hat off for a while and go enjoy yourself babe."

"Fiiiiiiine." she said. "I'll see you later then. I should be back early." she told him as she leaned up to kiss his cheek.

He turned his head to catch her lips.

She laughed a little and returned his kiss. "Cheeky." She chuckled.

"Only with you." he chuckled and let her go. "Have fun."

She nodded. "See you later." she said as she left...and not even five seconds later, Sophia came into the room. She was still getting used to walking, so she was a little wobbly. She grabbed a ball that was on the floor and threw it towards Colt's leg with a giggle.

He looked at Sophia and chuckled. "hi Princess Peanut." he picked her up.

"Hi Da." she smiled a little as she rested her head on his shoulder. She then put a hand over her ear. "Boo boo." she pouted. Meaning her ear was still bothering her because of her ear infection.

"Aw." he frowned and kissed the top of her head. "It's not quite time for medicine yet." he said. "Want some juice?"

She nodded. "Juice!"

"Yeah, your favorite kind." he said as he started to walk towards the kitchen.

"Punch." she giggled.

"I was thinking apple." he chuckled. Less sugar lol.

She pouted. "....punch for boo boo?" she asked, giving him puppy eyes, lol.

He groaned. "Sophie..."

"Da..." she said.

He gave in. "Punch for the boo boo."

"Yay!" she giggled as she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him happily. Sucker, lol.
