Getting in Late

It was late at night when Lacy's flight got in from Japan. She'd just got done with a four week tour and it was the longest she'd been away from home for work in a while. She was too tired to drive so she called a cab to drop her off at home rather than call Punk to get out of bed and pick her up. She was a few days early, anyway. She came in the house and locked the door, turning the alarm system on for the night before leaving her suitcases at the door and sat on the couch for a moment to gather her thoughts. She was so tired though that she ended up lightly dozing off.

Upstairs, Allison poked her head into her parent's bedroom, seeing Punk. "Daddy? Can I have some milk before bed time. Oh, and a cookie?" she grinned.

Punk was catching up on a hockey game he missed when he heard Ally. He looked over at the time and saw that she had some time before bed. "Sure you can." he said as he got out of bed.

"I wait here." she grinned and climbed up into his bed. "Oatmeal!" she called after him.

"Yes, Princess Ally." he snorted as he headed down the stairs. He went straight into the kitchen, putting her milk in a sippy cup then grabbed her cookie for her. As he was about to walk up, he saw something on the couch and frowned a bit to himself. He didn't remember leaving anything there. Hm. He walked up closer to inspect it since it was dark, then saw that it wasn't something, it was someone. Upon closer inspection, he saw that it was Lacy. He didn't say anything, he simply picked her up gently from the couch to bring her upstairs to their room. Punk walked into his room, placing Lacy down on the bed gently. "Keep it down, okay?" he whispered to Ally as he handed her the milk and cookie.

Ever the drama queen, Ally dropped her cookie and gasped loudly. "Mommy!" she squealed excitedly.

Lacy jolted awake and found herself in bed next to Allison. "Hey." she yawned and smiled sleepily.

"Ally." he groaned but shook his head in amusement. "Sorry, I told her to keep it down."

"Sorry." Ally smiled sheepishly.

"It's okay." she yawned. "I didn't mean to fall asleep."

"I miss you!" Ally nodded.

"I missed you too." she messed her hair. "Isn't it your bed time?"

"Daddy said I can have a cookie."

"Did he now?"

"I did." he nodded. "She's got a few minutes before bed."

"Unless you want my cookie?" Ally offered.

Lacy chuckled. "eat half. I don't want you to have a sugar rush."

"Aw man." she pouted and broke her cookie in half.

He chuckled. "Sharing is caring, little one." he told her as he kissed the top of Ally's head. "Well, welcome home." he told Lacy. "I thought you had a few more days. Or am I getting old and forgot you land today?"

"The tour ended early. Yesterday.. well, today.. well.. I don't know what day it is anymore." she snorted. "And I got on the first flight out."

He chuckled. "Crazy woman." he joked as he leaned over to kiss her cheek. "You should have called me to pick you up."

"It's late, I didn't want to disturb you if you were sleeping." she settled further into the pillow.

Ally saw how tired Lacy was and finished her cookie and her milk. "I'ma let mommy go to sleep." she said and climbed out of bed. "Night, Mommy."

"Night, Ally." Lacy yawned softly.

"Night Daddy."

"Night, Ally." he said. "Want me to tuck you in?"

"Yes." she grinned and raised her arms to be picked up.

He chuckled. "I'll be back." he told Lacy as he picked up Ally.

"Mhm." lacy said and settled down and closed her eyes until he got back. She wasn't sleeping.

"Happy to see mommy? she can cook again!" Ally cheered.

"I am, but are you saying my cooking wasn't good?" he smirked as he walked to her room.

"Not gooder than Mommy's." she grinned.

"well then you little traitor, I'm never cooking for you again." he joked as he made it to her room and put her in her bed.

"I love you, daddy." she giggled.

He chuckled. "Yeah yeah, love you too. Have sweet dreams and rest well." he said as he tucked her in and kissed her forehead.

"Make sure Mommy have fun!" she snuggled down into her covers.

"Mhm, we'll see." he said. "Good night." he kissed her forehead once more, then headed back to his room.

Lacy heard him come in and moaned lazily, holding up her leg with her boots still on to him.
