Getting that Groove Back

Ellie had just finished doing some laundry and was now getting the kids to bed. It was a routine now and since Sophia was born well, she hardly had time for anything else. She headed to Sophia's room to put some of her clothes away and she spotted Colt in there. Lately it seemed like he would rather spend all of his free time with the kids, which is not a bad thing but sometimes Ellie thought that he forgot about her and hardly paid her any mind...except for like a kiss on the cheek here and there and whatever else. Was it because she had no effort in getting dressed nicely since all she wore lately were sweats? Did she smell or something? She had no idea, lol. The night before she figured they would watch a movie together but he went to sleep instead. Bummer for her. She didn't know what to think. Shaking her head, she walked into the room and started putting Sophia's things away. "How's she doing?"

Scott was rocking the baby gently in his arms as she was on her way to sleep. "She is a little fussy but nothing I can't handle." He leaned over to kiss Ellie's forehead.

"That's cause you're a little miracle worker with her." she chuckled.

"I do what I can." he joked. "How are you feeling?"

"Good." she nodded. "Not as tired or stressed as I thought I would be."

"That's good." he said. "After I finish with Sophie I'm gonna go to my office and work on the show a little. Might be an all nighter."

"Oh." she said as she put some clothes away in the drawer. "I was probably going to watch a movie later, if you wanted to join me." she said.

"If I'm done with my work by then, I'll come and join you. Probably won't be able to, though.'

She nodded. She wasn't surprised though. "Oh well, maybe next time then." she said. "I'm gonna shower. You sure you don't need me to take over here?"

"Nah El, go relax. I've got it."

"Ooookay." she said and bent down to kiss Sophia's forehead before leaving the room. She went to shower and put on a movie, then went into bed, grabbing her phone. She texted Lacy. Hey. Doing anything tomorrow?

She put her phone to the side and ended up watching the movie.

Meanwhileeeee, Punk texted Colt. Some of the guys are here, watching old matches. Swing by?

Colt answered his phone. I was gonna work on the podcast some, but sure, why not. Be over in a few.

Maddie was sneaking off to get cookies, lol, but spotted Colt. "Daddy, where are you going?"

"I'm gonna go hang out at Punk's house for a while." he said, picking her up. "And what are you doing up, you little rascal?"

She giggled. "I was just getting a cookie."

"Well, you know how Mommy is about cookies at bed time." he said. "Go upstairs and rest, you've got school tomorrow." he kissed her forehead.
