Brandon gasped as Scott came up and he saw his face. "Scotty, what happened to your face?"

He hadn't taken the time to inspect his injuries. "Your mom beat me up." he said as he grabbed his keys and walked out.

"Where Mommy and Scotty go?" Ally asked.

"Oh, Ellie isn't feeling very well, so they went to go check on her and take care of her."

Ally looked over at Maddie and Ajay. "Is your mommy sick? I hope she feels better."

"Aw man, she sick." Ajay frowned.

Maddie shrugged. "Thanks. Is that why she didn't pick us up, Punkers?"

Punk nodded. "Yeah. Once she feels better, then you'll see her."

"Well at least she will feel better." Ally said brightly. "C'mon Maddie, help me pick out a tutu." she grabbed her hand and dragged her upstairs, lol.

"Okay." Maddie said as she followed Ally.

Punk grabbed his phone and texted Lacy and Colt, telling them to let him know what was going on when they got information.

Colt had gotten to the hospital after Lacy had, and texted Punk the information. Lacy wouldn't talk to him and he was holding an ice pack to his lower lip as he waited for information. He probably couldn't get any because he was family, but Lacy would because she'd said that she and Ellie were sisters.

After a couple of hours, a doctor came out. "Anybody here for Ellie Hardy?"

"I am." Lacy said and stood up. Scott was going to say something, but she fixed him with a glare and he sat down. "Is she okay? Is she going to make it?"

"Well, I'll be honest here...we did lose her at one point, but she's been revived and is okay for now. She has a few cuts and bruises here and there. However, she suffered a very serious head injury. With the impact of the collision and her head hitting the steering wheel so hard, it caused her brain to come forward and hit the front of her skull. It caused bleeding on the brain from both sides. Hopefully, we won't have to do any surgery. We have to make sure the pressure on her brain subsides, so we'll have to give her pills to bring the swelling down, but if the pills don't work, then we'll have no choice but to operate. She's going to be experiencing some headaches for quite some time because of this and they won't be very pleasant." he told her. "If you both would like to see her, you can. She's not awake and we don't expect her to be up until tomorrow, so you can go in when you'd like."

"I'll go." Scott said.

Lacy asked the doctor to give them a minute before turning to Scott, "What the Hell do you think you're doing?"

"I'm going to see her. I can't just sit here and do nothing."

"You've done enough," Lacy said harshly. "She wouldn't be in here if you werent such an idiot and broke up with her."

"You don't even know why it happened--"

"NO, but what I DO know is that my best friend is hanging on a thread trying to make it because you were an idiot. If you wouldn't have left her, she wouldn't have called me crying and she would have been paying attention so she wouldn't get hit." She started to cry again. "Why don't you go get in a major accident and not make it, and watch me not care. You are dead to me, Scott Colton; and I will never forgive you." she said harshly before flagging down the doctor and asking him to take her to Ellie.

The doctor felt bad for Colt and he lead Lacy to Ellie's room. Once he left her so she could see Ellie...he went back to Colt. "Sir, visiting hours are up in a half hour and something tells me that you really care about that young woman. Tell you what, go to the cafeteria and sit tight...then I'll get you and bring you to her room once her sister leaves. I could even arrange for an overnight stay if you'd like." such a nice doctor <3

"Thank you." Scott let out a breath of relief. He was hurt by what Lacy said, but he couldn't worry about that. He had to get to Ellie.

Scott thanked him again and went to the cafeteria, pulling his phone out to text Punk and check up on the kids.

Punk heard his phone beep and went to look at it. He saw that it was Colt. Kids are fine. They ate and are taking a nap. How's everything over there?

Lets see. She died, but they revived her and there's major swelling of her brain. Oh yeah, Lacy wants my head on a stick.
