Acting on Instinct

They got to the car and he got in the driver's side. "I'm probably gonna call Chris when we get to the room. He seemed kinda off."

She got into the passenger side. "Oh yeah...he did." she nodded a bit. "Sounds like a good idea."

He nodded as they headed to the hotel.

She just sat quietly during the car ride, pretty unusual for her...but she was still trying to figure everything out. Why the hell would Chris even kiss her? He didn't.....like her or anything, right? Then she'd be screwed and wouldn't want the two to fight over it.

AJ noticed how quiet she was being. "You alright, baby?"

She glanced over at him and nodded. "Mhm, fine."

"Alright..." he said as he pulled into the hotel parking lot.

Once he parked the car, she grabbed her bag and got out of the car, waiting for him.

He grabbed his stuff and they headed up to the hotel.

"Tired?" she asked as they headed to their room.

"A little...ready to relax with my wife." he grinned.

She chuckled a little. "I'm ready to relax with you too. It's been a while since we haven't had the kids with us."

He nodded. "I know...gotta admit it's kinda nice." he said softly.

"It is." she nodded. "I get a break." she laughed.

"I'm sorry." he said with a chuckle as they got into the elevator. "You sure you're alright? Tired?"

She nodded. "Just a little tired."

He nodded as the elevator opened to their floor.

She stepped off of the elevator as they walked to his room. Ugh. "AJ, I need to tell you something." she said, she just had to.

"Oh...alright. What's up?" he asked as he set his stuff down.

"Well...it's about Chris." she said as she walked into the room and closed the door, putting her bag down.

"Oh?" he asked as they sat down on the bed. "What's up?"

She sighed a bit. "When you were out doing your match, we were talking and then....he kissed me."

He nodded and then stopped. "Wait...he did what?"

"He kissed me." she told him again.

"Why would he do that?"
