Guy Time

Jeff, AJ and Punk were all on the same travel schedule....so of course they were on the road with each other. They decided to grab a bite to eat and just have some time to themselves before they headed off to the next show and then home. They walked inside and were seated.

"So, how's life going for you two?"

"Going great." AJ smiled. "Ever since I started back, Tiffany said she's gonna make sure my schedule isn't TOO crazy so I can spend more time with Ellie and the kids." he smiled.

"It's alright...Candice and I are trying to get ready for the new baby." he nodded.

"That's good." Punk nodded as he sipped on his pepsi. "Bet you're happy to have Candice back and now having a kid." he told Jeff.

AJ nodded as he sipped on his water. "Getting into a bad accident makes you see things differently." he chuckled.

Jeff nodded. "But...what if I'm a shitty father?"

"Oh God, I've had my fair share of incidents during the year. I'm surprised I'm even mentally healthy right now." Punk said as he shook his head and then looked over at Jeff. "Oh please, you'll be just fine."

AJ smirked a little. "that's debatable." he teased. "What are you worried about, Jeff. You're gonna be fine." he assured.

"But, we all know I've majorly screwed up before...enough to have 2 strikes against me at work." he reminded. "What kid's gonna want that for a father?"

Punk nodded a bit, understanding Jeff. He knew all about Jeff's problems in the past...hell everybody does. "Well, what matters is that you're not doing that stuff anymore and that once you have your kid, you'll never think about it. Trust me, these kids will change you."

AJ nodded. "You're a different person now." he said assuringly.

"I know..." he sighed softly. "I just...I get kinda paranoid."

"I think when we found out we were gonna have a kid, we both were the same way." he told Jeff, talking about himself and AJ. "When Lacy told me she was pregnant with Brandon, on the outside, I was calm....but in the inside, I was freaking the hell out."

AJ nodded. "It's true...Ellie and I really weren't ready...we were told she couldn't even get pregnant...and when she did I was like...oh shit." he admitted.

Jeff nodded. "You guys just seem to be so natural."

AJ smiled. "But you're awesome with Maddie and Ajay."

"But because they aren't my kids." he reminded.

"How about when they spend the night at your place?" he asked. "You're able to control them for over night stays and keep them entertained. From what I've heard, you're great with them and you'll be a kick ass Dad with your kid. Plus, you'll have Candice to help too. It's not like you'll be doing everything alone. I learned a lot with Lacy and even when I made mistakes or didn't know what to do or vice versa, we had each other to figure it out."

"True...I just...Candice and the kid deserve the best...and that's all I wanna be for them." Jeff told them.

"And that's all you can hope for...no parent and marriage is ever gonna be perfect." he told him. "But as long as you guys work together and give the baby plenty of love...you'll be just fine."

Punk nodded, agreeing with AJ. "We both...almost lost our wives this year, with them leaving us and then Lacy with her coma and everything else, we had a lot to go through." he said as he bit his lip a bit. "...but AJ is right, we work it through and make sure that the kids come first and we keep them happy."

He nodded. "Yeah...Candice just got back and I'm so excited to actually have more than a few weeks with her." he chuckled.

AJ nodded. "Yeah...just don't lose sight of what's really important. It's why I started doing a lighter schedule. I missed a lot of firsts...and it's why Ellie almost left me."

"It's about time for you two." Punk nodded to Jeff and then agreed with AJ. "Same here. It was brutal. If I wasn't able to see Brandon and Ally, I would have gone crazy."

AJ nodded. "Seriously...I love those kids more than anything." he smiled.

Jeff smiled. "Thanks for this guys...it actually is helping a lot."

"I do too." Punk nodded. "Jeff, we were idiots when it came to certain things, so you've gotta come to us." he joked.

"Oh god." Jeff laughed.

"Well Phil was an idiot on certain things and then I was an idiot on other stupid things." AJ smiled.

"Then we'd go to each other and figure shit out." he laughed.

"Exactly...and now all three of us will be dads...boy that's a scary thought." AJ joked.

"Geez...you're right...ever think the three of us would be dads?"

"I never thought I'd be one. Hell, I never even thought I'd get married."

"I just can't believe I got married before both of you and I'm the last one to have a kid." he laughed.

"Actually...that's not all that hard to believe." AJ said with a chuckle.

"Yeah...yeah you're right."

"Well now it's here." Punk chuckled.

AJ nodded. "Definitely."

Jeff nodded as well.

"What do you want it to be? Cause let's not lie...I know when we were having Brandon, I secretly hoped it was a boy."
