Watching Maddie & Brandon

Lacy was sitting on the floor with Brandon in her lap, laughing at him as he played with her fingers and the jewelry on them. She laughed because he was making random noises and would occasionally exclaim random things. Right now, "Ba!" and "Da!" were his favorite things to say. Whenever he'd say "Da!", if Phil was in the house, she'd tell Brandon where he was, so when he started to talk, he'd already know who "Da" was. He was only four months old, but he was already starting to recognize people (mainly his parents and Ellie) and would make a noise and reach for them whenever he saw them.

The doorbell rang and Lacy got up, still carrying Brandon, and walked over to answer it. She opened it to see Ellie and Maddie, as Ellie was dropping Maddie off for the day. Maddie noticed that Lacy didn't spend as much time with her because of Brandon, and that made Lacy felt like crap, so she offered to let Madison spend the day with her.

"Hey, guys." Lacy smiled while Brandon just looked at the two, resting his head on his mom's shoulder. He did make a small noise and smile at the sight of Ellie, though.

"Hi Lacy....and Brandon." Ellie chuckled as she walked in with Madison. "Layley! Baby!" Maddie grinned as she saw them. "Um so...thanks for taking Madison for the day."

"No problem. Had to have her for a day." She chuckled. "You go do whatever it is you do."

"Nap time." she chuckled as she set Madison down. "I'll be back later." she said as she kissed Maddie's cheek and left.

She chuckled as Ellie left and looked down at Madison, ushering her in the house. "Hey kid."

"Hi Layley." Maddie said as she walked into the house and hugged Lacy around the leg. "We go play?"

"I gotta put the baby down for a nap, but Punk is upstairs if you wanna say hi. We'll play in a bit, I promise." She nodded. "Phil! Maddie's here."

Maddie giggled as she headed towards the stairs. "Punnnnnnnk!"

Phil came down the stairs and picked her up. "Brat, what are you doing here?" he asked.

"I play with Layley." she nodded.

Phil chuckled. "I didn't know we were running a day care." he said, joking with Lacy.

"It's my new job." She laughed as Brandon exclaimed "da!"

"You need a better job." he teased as he looked at Brandon. "Hey kid. God, you look like your hot father more and more everyday." he chuckled.

"Baby cute!" Maddie grinned.

"He is cute, it's 'cause of me." She told Madison while teasing Phil.

"Yeah...okay. It's all me." Phil chuckled.

"You're crazy." She laughed as Brandon reached his arms out for Phil.

"Yes, and?" he asked as he put Madison down and picked up Brandon.

"Maybe I shouldn't be with such a crazy man." She smirked. She looked down at Maddie, "You hungry?"

"Please, you know you don't want anybody else." he winked.

Madison nodded. "Mhm, hungry!"

"How would you know, haven't had you in damn near a year." She winked back, picked up Maddie, and went into the kitchen.

"We'll be fixing that." he yelled out with a chuckle.

"Layley, cookies." Maddie nodded.

"Put the kid down for a nap!" She laughed as she was in the kitchen. She set Maddie down on the counter. "Cookies? Did you eat lunch before you came here? Tell the truth."

"Put the kid down for a nap." Phil mimicked. "Your mom is crazy, you don't want a nap." he told Brandon.

Madison pouted. "No."

Brandon laughed and started to fidget at Phil's mocking of Lacy.

Lacy laughed. "Tell you what, I'll make you peanut butter and jelly. It's lunch and better than a cookie."

"She'll start bothering you when you get older." Phil joked with Brandon.

"Oh okay, but cookie later." she nodded.

Brandon kept laughing and reached out to pull a strand of Phil's hair. "Ba!"

"You ain't the boss of me." Lacy tickled the girl lightly and went to go make the sandwich.

"Ow, no. Your mom is the only one who can do that." he said taking Brandon's little hand away from his hair. []

Maddie giggled as Lacy tickled her. "I get milk Layley?" she asked.

Brandon blinked in confusion before whimpering and trying to reach for Phil's hair again.

"If you want milk, you got it babe." Lacy told her while making her sandwich.
