"You might be doing it now." She shrugged.

"I'm not just saying it to be nice, you really do still look great to me."

"I've kept you up long enough. Get your sleep."

"Okay. Hopefully my spawn lets you sleep too."

"...he won't." She grinned up at him.

"Yep."

"When did you find out?"

"Earlier today."

"Damn it, I wish I could have been there."

"I couldn't reschedule the appointment. I'm sorry." She looked up regretfully at him.

"It's okay I guess, there's always another appointment I could go to."

"I do feel pretty bad about you not going on this one, though..."

"Well, we can't rewind the day and change it."

"Knowing me, I'd try." She laughed lightly.

"Then you must be hiding these powers from me." he chuckled.

"Never."

"Liar." he chuckled. "Okay, I think I'm going to get some sleep. You sure you don't need anything else?"

"If I do, I'll get it myself. Night."
