Marriage On The Rocks (Randy/Katie)

Randy decided to go look for Jake, since he always managed to calm Randy down.

Katie put her cup of coffee down then grabbed her cell phone and called her sister Ellie.

Jake yawned as he woke up then ran out of his room.

"Daddy!" Jake yelled.

"Hey Jake." he smiled as he picked him up. "Sleep well?"

Ellie was currently bathing Maddie and getting her ready for a day out when her cell phone rang. Answering it and putting it on speaker, she talked.

"Hello?"

"Yeah. Can I have pancakes now?" Jake asked with a smile.

"Ellie." Katie as she wiped away a tear.

"Sure." he replied.

"Katie? What's wrong?" she asked as she finished bathing Maddie and grabbed her towel.

"Awesome." Jake said as he smile widened.

"We haven't been married a week and my and Randy's marriage is already crumbling. I'm so confused about this whole Stacy thing that I don't know what else to do but blame Randy." Katie said as more tears filled her eyes.

Randy looked at Jake and chuckled.

"Jake you know I love you no matter what, right?"

Ellie frowned and felt bad for Katie and Randy. She took her phone off of speaker as she walked back to Maddie's room to change her.

"Katie, do you honestly think he would this to you after he's been there for you through it all?"

"Yeah. I love you too daddy." Jake said.

"I...I don't know. I want to believe him I really do but I can't." Katie said.

Randy smiled as he hugged Jake and then went to the kitchen with him to make his pancakes.

"I thought you loved him."

"What's going on with you and mommy?" Jake asked.

"I do." Katie said.

"We just had a big misunderstanding." he told him.

"I don't know. I mean if you really love him, then you'd trust and believe him." she said, trying to convince Katie.

"About what?" Jake asked.

"Ellie this is so freaking hard. How would you feel if the one person who wouldn't leave your family alone was carrying AJ's baby?" Katie asked.

"Just grown up stuff."

"Of course I'd be hurt and upset Katie, but I'd have to get both sides of the stories and find a way to make it work."

"Oh." Jake said.

"I guess you're right." Katie said.

"Yep, but don't worry about it."

"I usually am." she joked. "Seriously though Katie, I think it'll all work out."

"The kid next door said you were going to get a divorce. What does that mean?" Jake asked.

"Thanks Ellie." Katie said with a small smile.

"The kid next door is wrong and that's a bad word."

"You're welcome." she smiled.

"Is it as bad as damn?" Jake asked.

"I have to go, I'll talk to you later." Katie said before she hung up.

She sighed as she got up then wiped her eyes before she walked back in the house.

"It's worse."

"Alright. Call me later." she told her before Katie hung up.

Jake nodded then turned his head and smiled at Katie.

"Mommy!" Jake yelled.

"Hey sweetie." Katie said with a small smile.

Randy smiled and continued to make Jake's pancake.

Katie picked Jake up then kissed him on his cheek. She handed Randy chocolate chips to put in the batter.

"He likes chocolate chips in his pancakes." Katie said.

"Oh. Thanks." he said taking the bag.

[I'm going to bed...night!]

"You're welcome." Katie said.

She put Jake.

"You go play." Katie said.

"Okay." Jake said as he ran into the living room.

Randy put the chocolate chips in the pancake mix as they were now left alone.
