Marriage On The Rocks (Randy/Katie)

Katie got out of the guest bedroom. She decided to sleep in there instead of her and Randy's room after she found out Stacy was carrying Randy's baby. The worst part of it was that she found on her and Randy's wedding day. She walked downstairs and went into the kitchen before she started making breakfast for herself.

Randy couldn't sleep at all since the night that Stacy said she was pregnant with his child and he couldn't believe it. He didn't even remember how that happened because he wanted nothing to do with her.

Sighing, he decided to go downstairs and get some coffee or something and then he saw Katie. There had been very little communication between them except for when Jake would talk to them.

"Um, morning."

Katie looked at Randy then went back to making an omelet.

"Morning." Katie muttered.

He nodded as he went to grab a coffee mug.

"What are you doing here anyway? I thought you would be out getting someone else pregnant." Katie said bitterly.

He sighed.

"Well obviously not." he stated.

"Such a surprise." Katie said.

"I don't know how many times I have to tell you that I don't remember anything and I didn't cheat on you." he groaned.

"Oh really then how the hell is she pregnant with your baby if you didn't cheat on me?!" Katie yelled.

"Katie, if I knew I'd tell you, but I don't know!" he yelled back.

"I don't understand that after everything we've been through and gone through together, you're here blaming me." he said.

"Well she was in your hotel room the same night she got pregnant so I guess I can blame you can't I?" Katie asked.

"No you can't." he flat out told her.

"You're supposed to believe me when I tell you things. You're supposed to trust me, but I guess it'll never happen. Well you know what Katie, if I'm always cheating on you, or so you say, then maybe I should just go right?! Maybe I should leave because then you wouldn't have to worry anymore!" he yelled getting fed up.

"Perhaps I should stop trying to make this work even when I try hard."

Katie felt tears in her eyes.

"Maybe you should." Katie said.

"You sure you really want that?" he asked.

"I don't know!" Katie cried.

She turned and ran her fingers through her hair.

"I don't know." Katie muttered as tears started to roll down her cheeks.

He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck as he looked at Katie. He didn't know if he should go up to her or not, so he stepped closer to her a little.

"Katie, I-I'm sorry. I hate being like this with you."

"I hate it too." Katie said.

He stepped a little closer and wrapped his arms around her, hesitantly.

"I swear on my life that I don't remember sleeping with her or being with her. That night that Matt said he saw her, all I remember was her saying she wanted to talk to me and to give her a chance. I only agreed just so she would leave me alone and that's all I remember, I swear."

"I wish I could trust you...I..I just don't know what to believe." Katie said.

"You have to believe me. You know Stacy, she probably set us up or something."

Katie just walked out of Randy's arms and filled two cups with coffee.

He sighed and nodded as he sat at the table.

Katie took her cup of coffee then went out onto the deck and st down on one of the lounge chairs.

Randy took his cup as well and sat there, deciding to give Katie some space.

Katie looked down at her cup of coffee with tears in her eyes.
