Surprising his Lady

"You're really not? Bummer."

"For some reason that gets you going."

"I'm weird like that."

"Just weird."

"Yes ma'am."

"Sleep." She snorted.

"Yes dear."

She leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Thanks for all this way to come see me. It means a lot."

"No need to thank me." he said as he kissed the top of her head. "I missed you and I didn't want you to feel alone here."

"I'll be glad when this is over."

"And then you can come chill out at home and relax."

"I don't know about chill out and relax, but I can come home." she chuckled.

"...well, that is true." he chuckled.

"Oh. So, my Mom called me." she rolled her eyes. "She said she saw a picture of me on tour and said I was too thin."

"Your Mom has nothing better to do than to make phone calls that charge you." he snorted. "However, I do agree with her...for the first and last time." he said. "You are looking a little too thin, babe. I don't want you to be unhealthy now."

"I don't feel ill, though.' she said. "I've got a lot going on and I need to be in shape for all of it."

"Babe, you are in great shape." he told her. "You don't have to kill yourself to get into shape because you already are. I know you most likely won't listen to me, but you don't need to do anything else."

"Well I certainly can't gain any weight." she snorted. "I said it before, my body is how I get work, y'know?" she said. "It sounds awful it and it is, but I can't do anything if I'm.. chubby."

"I don't think a pound or two will make you chubby."

"I don't think a pound or two is gonna make my mother happy." she snorted. "She said she wants me to put on 20 pounds."

"And I know you won't let that happen." he said. "How about 10?"

"Phil." she frowned.

"Lace." he pouted. "Please? I don't want the wind to blow you away. I'll gain ten pounds too." he nodded.

"You are not gaining ten pounds." she snorted with a small roll of the eyes.

"I will." he nodded.
