Renewing Our Vows

Today marked a year that Ellie and Scott were married. Since they didn't have an actual wedding ceremony last year, Ellie decided that this year they could have an actual ceremony and renew their vows. She spoke to Colt about it and well, here they were. Punk was hellbent on keeping Colt away from Ellie, so he managed to keep him away from her over the past two days. He took him to a hockey game (which he said counted as a bachelor party) and then the following night, Lacy and Ellie went out, so Colt didn't get a chance to see her.

There was about an hour left until Ellie had to go out there, so she was in the changing room, just getting ready. The reception area was all set and so was the ceremony area as well. It was simple and nothing too extravagant. She had the bridesmaids light brown dresses, her wedding dress and the girls' dresses (the tutu one obviously for Maddie and Ally, lol) in there with her. She was currently with Sophia and Maddie in the room, getting them dressed in their dresses, while Ajay was with Colt. Ellie still had to get ready and put her dress on, but of course Sophia was giving her a hard time. "Please Sophie? Just this one time for Mommy, okay? I'll change you into something else later, but you need to wear a dress for now."

"Nono!" Sophia giggled as she continued to move around.

"At least the attire is simple." Punk said as he wore his attire. "If I had to wear a suit in this heat, I'd be dead." he told Colt and looked over at him. "...well, at least the suit is a light color for you."

"So Daddy won't die." Ajay nodded as he wore the outfit similar to Punk.

"Looks like you're having a hard time." she chuckled.

"Daddy's not gonna die from the heat, Daddy's gonna die cause he's nervous." He said as he fiddled with his tie.

"Ugh, yes." Ellie chuckled. "I'm about to ship her off to Scott." she snorted.

"Laylay!" Sophia giggled as she went to crawl away from Ellie.

"I don't think Sophia likes dresses." Maddie giggled.

"....no dying." Ajay said.

Punk snorted. "Why are you nervous? You're already married to the girl."

Lacy reached down to pick Sophia up. "Come here you little runt." she chuckled and started to dress her.

"I dunno, I've never had anything like this before." he shrugged. "I can't be the professional that you are at these things." he snorted.

"Nono." she whined.

He chuckled. "Well, I am the best in the world." he joked. "Just relax man. I'm sure everything will be just fine. All your nerves will go away once you see her walking towards you."

"Yes." Lacy snorted and with some struggle, got her dressed. "See how easy that was?"

"...for you. It takes me like an hour to get this girl dressed." she said as she grabbed her dress. "I should probably get ready." she chuckled. "I have Ally's dress hanging on the door, so she can change into it whenever." she told her.

"It's...special that's for sure." he said. "Like all my thoughts about everything that happened prior to her coming out went away. I was immediately calm and relaxed. I don't want to sound like a total doofus, but honestly for me seeing Lacy walk down that aisle was breathtaking. She looked like a fucking angel and she's smiling and just looked so beautiful and happy." he told him. "It felt like it was just the two of us in that room, having that intimate connection with one another. I was standing there thinking, man is she really mine? I'm the luckiest man on the planet to have her."

"It's a pretty dress." ally nodded. "A bigger tutu, though."

"Sap." he joked. "No, but if I feel like that, I might pass out." he chuckled.

Ellie chuckled. "I know, but they didn't have a bigger one." she said as she went into the dressing room to change.

Maddie chuckled. "Mommy is gonna have to buy you a big one."

"Just make sure to breathe and you won't." he snorted.

"The biggest!" Ally nodded.

"Put your dress on." Lacy snorted and handed Allison her dress.

"Ellie might be the one carrying me over the threshold."

Maddie giggled. "All of them."

"She wouldn't be able to lift you up." he teased.

"You get dressed, too missy" she told Allison.

"And she'd never forgive me." he snorted.

"Okay." Maddie said and grabbed her dress to change into.

"Yeah, right." he snorted. "She forgives you so easily for everything."

"Need help, Ellie?" Lacy asked.

"I'm sure ruining her wedding would not be one of the things she would forgive me for."

She came out. "Can you just help me finish zipping it up?"

"She would...like a year later or something.' he joked.

She came in to help her zip up. "Nervous?"

"After she beat my head in with a shovel." he snorted.

"As weird as it sounds, yes." she chuckled. "I'm nervous and anxious. I haven't seen or heard from him in two days, so I finally get to see him."

"Pretty violent." he smirked.

"That was the point." she chuckled.

"She can be when she wants to." he chuckled.

"I hated it." she snorted.

"...and you're sure you wanna do this?" he joked.

"Ah but it'll be so much sweeter when you see him. Trust me."

"I already signed my life."

"I can't wait." she said. "He must be nervous too. I can picture him now.' she chuckled.

"Poor you." he joked as he fixed his hair.

"he's probably launched himself into the middle of traffic."

"Glad you got out of that derp phase of growing out your hair." he snorted.

"I hope not.' she chuckled. "Then this whole day would be a waste." she joked.

"I am offended." he snorted.

"You might be saying your vows at the hospital."

"I was offended at that hair style." he snorted.

"How romantic." she chuckled. "I think I'm all set."

"I'm offended by yours every day and you don't hear me complaining."
