After a few more pushes, the doctor announced, "the head is crowning. Just a few more pushes, Ellie."

Scott held her hand and kissed the top of her head. "C'mon, baby, you're doing great."

"Okay." she got out and continued to push, wanting to finally see her baby.

"One more big push, and.." they heard a baby start to cry. "It's a girl."

She laid back against the pillows and started to catch her breath. Once she heard the baby's cries, she started to cry a little as well, both in relief and happiness. "A girl." she grinned.

He watched them clean off his daughter before he looked down at Ellie, wiping her tears away and kissing her gently. "You did great, Ellie."

"A healthy, 8 pound girl." She handed her to Ellie. "Congratulations. We'll back with the birth certificate when you're ready."

She nodded. "Thank you." she told her as she looked down at the baby. "Well, she looks like you." she chuckled as she kissed the baby's forehead.
