First Father's Day

"So tell me." he chuckled.

"I can't." she snorted as she kissed his cheek. "Go to your office and listen to like...the last minute of your podcast that you're editing." she nodded. "I have to finish setting up anyway."

"I'm gonna start putting a lock on my computer." he snorted and went upstairs to go listen to the last of the podcast.

She snorted and went back to setting things up while the kids played with Tigger.

So, on the podcast...Colt would hear this little message.

Ha! I'm finally on your podcast...well, before you edit it and cut me out. Jerk. Anyway, Happy Father's Day, hubby! Enjoy your little present. After that brief opening, Colt would hear some sort of....beat. A heart beat to be exact. It played for a couple of seconds and faded out. In case you're wondering what that is...or want me to confirm, yes, that's your peanut. Our peanut. she said. We're pregnant. I know you probably have questions, so come find me when you're ready. 

"..peanut?" He broke out into a small grin. He pushed away from his computer and went back downstairs, finding Ellie and catching her around the waist. "We're.. w-we're having another peanut?"

"It appears so." she chuckled a bit.

"Ellie." he popped her playfully. "Are you ready?"

She nodded. "I'm just nervous and don't want to get too excited." she said. "I want to make sure this one  makes it past four months." she told him.

"It will." he kissed her. "We're going to have a healthy baby."

"I really do hope so." she said.

"We will. Now be excited." he grinned. "Ajay, Madison!"

She snorted and would be a little happier, lol. "Yes?" they asked as they ran up to them.

"You see Mommy's tummy? There's a baby in there." he said.

Madison tilted her head. "Nuh uh."

"Yeah, it has to be bigger." Ajay said as he shook his head. "No baby."

"Well, my tummy is still small because the baby is little inside. Once the baby gets a little bigger, then my tummy will get bigger too."

Madison looked over at both of them. "How does a baby get in there anyway?"

"Well I can't tell you that until you turn a million years old." he ruffled her hair.

"It's like a big secret." she giggled.

"A very big secret." Ellie chuckled. 

"WAIT." Ajay said as if suddenly realizing something. "I'm not gonna be the baby anymore?" he asked as he frowned.

"No, you get to be a big brother. So you can protect your little brother or sister and beat people up."

"I dunno about this." Ajay shook his head. 

"I had to do it." Maddie grumbled.

"Hey, you are still our babies." he chuckled.

"Yeah?" Ajay asked. 

Ellie nodded and crouched down to his height. "Yes." she said. "I mean, we do have to give the baby a little more attention since it won't be able do stuff by itself, but you both are still my babies." she told him and Maddie.

"Hm...well then okayyyy." Ajay said.

"I'm excited!" Maddie grinned.

"Good, 'cause we are too." He grinned.

"But don't tell anybody yet, okay? We have to make sure the baby is healthy and then we can tell people." she told the kids. "When my tummy gets a little bigger, you can tell everybody."

"But...I wanna tell Layley."

"And grandma." Ajay said.

"Not yet, okay? Tell....Tigger." she nodded.

"Oh yeah!" Maddie said. "Come on, Ajay." she said and dragged him off.

Ellie snorted and stood back up, shaking her head. "Anyway." she told Colt. "I'm a little over two months." she said. "And I had no idea because I haven't had any symptoms."

"I'd say that's a good thing." he chuckled, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her forehead.

"Very good thing." She nodded, keepong her arms around him. "I don't want to tell the family yet. I mean Punk and Lacy fine, but lets just keep it between us for a while."

"That's fine. I'm sorry if you told the kids too fast. I was just excited."
